Can I ask how are you making the book in horse racing ? Do you take the odds from other firms ? Also what is the min & max bets ? bookies nowadays block winning punters but how about you ? it seems you have no control over them except over a particular bitcoin address ? are you able to make a proper bookmaking job unlike the old names who are restricting customers left and right ?

His bet winnings were sent after 6 confirmations. What I sent him which did not require 6 confirmations was a prize as part of our horse racing betting promotion. We do relay on other sources for odds. Generally, the maximum you can profit from each bet is 7.75 BTC. So if for example the bet odds is 1.5, the max bet size is 15 BTC. Unlike other sportbooks, we welcome winners and arbitrage bettors and will never limit them. You are right, due to the nature of Bitcoin and the complete anonymous betting that we offer, we wouldn't be able to limit them even if we wanted to. Instead, we have a risk management system in place that has the option to cover bets on other sources if and when necessary. This allows us to take bets from winning players. |

Thanks for the fast answers, interesting though that if hypothetically I'd place 1 btc at 8/1 you won't take the bet am I correct ? If yes could I use 2 separate bitcoin addresses 2x 0.5btc ? will you accept these 2 bets or lower the odds ?
I saw that you don't offer horse racing from Ireland and also some races are missing from tomorrow's UK meetings ? Do you only cover selective races where the overround is higher ?
Also I can't seem to find any info about DirectBet, can you expand more about where are you based and how long have you been involved in bookmaking prior to this ?
Anyways I hope you'll make a long and healthy business as we needed this fresh air after the long war with the pathetic bookies who restrict to pennies even after few bets, although I also hope you can improve your website design as it looks from the 90s no offence :-)

thats sort of misleading..there is no guarentee that you would get 1/2 bet size once in..then get second 1/2 at the same price. u might you might not..u could get worse or better or same on second half.
and I like the simple interface..i wish horse racing wagers could be put in faster however not that second screen , copy paste, odds change so fast and its not fast to get in a wager.....somehow just click and confirm.

His question was whether placing a bet at half the maximum stake will cause the odds to reduce, and the answer is no. Yes the odds might change over time due to various other factors, but not because we previously accepted a similar bet. |

Not sure if this has been asked yet, but are you the guys from the orginal DirectBet (10-12 years ago)? Really enjoyed that site, the unique bet types offered (big market on betting the Oscars for example). They were also one of the first offshore books to accept horses. Those guys, developed the earliest versions of Pinnacle's first website.

No, we are not related to them nor do we know who they were. When we picked up our name we were not aware that it was used by another sportsbook 12 years ago. |
