I dont think putting down other legitimate coin projects is a smart thing to do. Both Darkcoin and Monero are fully open source and honest efforts.  I support DRK for many reasons, the lower emission curve and the incentive to hold through masternodes make it at least in the mid term a safer investment.  Monero is at the moment a highly inflationary coin, although a solution to that may be found in the future. Darkcoin is a deflationary coin with a low block reward that is reduced by 7% each year.
[snip]

Monetary inflation/deflation is an increase/decrease in the money supply. Is the number of Darkcoins decreasing?

Yes, but degenerate gamblers do. Those tend not to be intelligent and well educated.

I know you are referring to sportsbet highrollers that are netto-winners. Let me tell you something, if directbet could remove all of them from their site without harming their reputation, they would Wink Hell, why wouldn't they.

So no, they most certaintly don't want those Monero sharks (haha)

Monero is not ready for adoption, it does not even have a GUI wallet yet. It is a good experiment but is still at very early stages maybe in 2016 if Monero is still around. The time of Darkcoin is now.

2016?! WTF? Pretty transparent and clumsy FUD attempt dude.

Monero has at least two independently-developed GUI wallets. More are in progress, as is an ambitious new wallet concept from the core developers. I would bet a lot that these will be done well before 2016.

Bitcoin is not hurt in the slightest because the vast majority of users are on third party wallets (electrum, multibit, mycelium, blockchain, coinbase, etc.). In fact that is a sign of a successful system when the original developers aren't the only ones working on it. Same with Monero.
