I've put up a thread to talk about forking the Mastercoin Project: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878363.msg9697453#msg9697453The reason I mention it is that some of the ideas have included porting Mastercoin over to Counterparty, or finding a way to port Maidsafe tokens over to counterparty. For what Mastercoiners are left, we are tired of how the project is being handled and want change. We're not looking for a flame war those of us who are left know well enough what a mistake it was to turn down counterparty at the start and we aren't happy about it. We're looking for input on what to do next. We'd be glad to work with Maidsafe and Mastercoin to port Maidsafe over to Counterparty. (It wouldn't be at all hard to do. Notably, the two exchanges which handle MAID already also support Counterparty.) Knowing next to nothing about Mastercoin (other than having lost some 0.X BTC buying high and selling at a 99% loss, and still owning some Maidsafecoin), how difficult would it be to add some kind of simple Mastercoin support to Counterwallet? Kind of a "sweep Mastercoin assets to Counterparty assets" deal. Assuming that the Mastercoin API's are halfway reasonable, it should be an easy port. Following on that thought, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to simply fork every Mastercoin asset into an identical Counterparty asset, right? The Bitcoin addresses and private keys would all be the same. Simply take a "snapshot" of all Mastercoin assets (excluding, of course, MSC tokens themselves) and clone them into Counterparty, and let the market decide which fork it chooses to honor. While that may be a stretch and result in a persistent and unresolved fork, I just thought of another option: create a Counterparty asset for Voting on Mastercoin assets. E.g. MAIDSAFE_XCP_VOTE which is 1:1 distributed to all owners of Maidsafecoin. They can import their private keys into Counterwallet for the vote. If enough Maidsafe holders vote to switch to Counterparty... voila. Of course, this would require significant publicity efforts to get enough people to vote.

The Counterparty Foundation website looks great. This is likely to be a very useful organization. Congratulations to Adam with the new Chief Scientist designation.

How about Trezor support?
I'll +1 this, I'd love that feature. If it's possible, I'd be willing to contribute some XCP to a pooled bounty to make it happen. If anyone is interested PM me. Of course maybe the devs are working on it already.

Open questions to Counterparty:
have a BTC/XCP vending machine?
make a market of XCP on the DEX?
make the DEX visable to the public?

multisig is almost ready, and Trezor should work today AFAIK This was the reply from Adam in previous post. I am not sure whether Adam means we can already use Trezor address to send XCP already.

I am not sure whether Adam means we can already use Trezor address to send XCP already. there needs to be a program and program manager to allow 3rd party applications like Trezor to test and "certify" against support of the protocol

http://www.bitcoin2comparator.org/It looks like that website needs to be updated. It is maintained by the Colored Coin guys. There are few incorrect Counterparty entries. For example, the purpose of the comparison is between the asset related features of all 3 technologies. Uses no intermediate currency: Counterparty doesn't use XCP for asset issuance Protocol Specification Document: Yes, we have one. See here - https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/CounterpartySend to multisig address: *Depends on what they mean here* can we send Counterparty assets to a Bitcoin address starting with '3'. I think so. And we have Multisig support now too. Fell free to spot anything else I missed. It'd be nice to contact them once with a comprehensive list of updates to their list. Is there any aspect of Colored Coins tech that could be incorporated into the Counterparty Protocol that would be of benefit? I know they are quite different technologies but since Counterparty is Bitcoin-Blockchain-aware it should be able to see the colored satoshis. Can I get some input on this?
