That's correct. Sorry everyone, but Kanye's lawyers sent me an email that explained the Kanye side of things pretty well, and I don't really think it's right what COYE has done. Same goes for all celebrity coins.

Please cancel your orders and withdraw your COYE.

Unless you're in the US busoni, you're either ignorant or a bullshit liar. I'm not even going to bother posting an explanation on how US jurisdiction doesn't affect foreign exchanges, but every single retard who makes a new exchange (minus cryptorush, kudos to you) bails at out the first sign of trouble....like this sort of thing is ever suppose to go smoothly? To everyone saying that 100 satoshis could easily happen or 150 satoshi isn't that hard to see for this coin:

I've been watching this for the entire time it's been out and people aren't willing to pay that much anymore. Most of us sold millions at 50 satoshi the second day of the coin and prices haven't even tried to go up.
There are simply to many people that just want to dump their 11 Million COYE they got in 1 hour mining at 2 satoshis and because of the volume it's high enough price. If people were working together and we all posted at 50 satoshis, buyers would have to buy at 50 or not at all. Ill post the million I've got left at 50 in solidarity but I never expect it to sell there unless others follow suit.

It will very fun! ! ! Let's do IT

I agree, as a community we need to stop selling so low. If you want to sell post your sell order but set it to 50 satoshi and play the waiting game. If you truly believe in this coin then you should know that people will pay that if that's what it's selling for. If you just want to dump your coins, dump them here on the forum so real believers can hold your coinye without you crashing the market. Please quote this if you agree so people will continue to see this.

There is zero incentive for me to fight this, because I don't think it's right to. COYE and other celebrity coins attempt to use another person's image and celebrity for their own gain.

As it happens, Poloniex is based in the United States. I am not going to show you everything they sent, because the email also contained a confidentiality clause. In short, the email contained a cease and desist letter as well as a collection of evidence indicating the willful infringement on the KANYE WEST brand. They emphasized that the KANYE WEST brand (caps theirs) is extremely valuable, and just pointing out that it is a brand altered my view of it. I also didn't know how blatantly the developers admitted that they were piggybacking off of Kanye's celebrity. Their case is very strong, and I believe they're in the right about this.

Lol , what case ? THIS IS A PARODY OF A PARODY DONE BY SOUTH PARK. Kanye tried suing South park too, it didn't work.
If you don't want the coin on your exchange just do it, don't give us this b.s. blah blah brand stuff. If this coin, btw whose likeness
is of a gay fish , is truly infringing on their brand then surely Mr.West is also a gay fish.

Just curious Driftwhisper.  If you were basically threatened with the possibility of losing your livelihood and all your possessions, would you try to win a case against Kanye?

Honestly, in this scenario I would just change to KOI. Whether or not there is potential to lose their livelihood is a stretch,
I don't think any of this crypto stuff should constitute the majority of anyone's livelihood. I just think this whole lawsuit
thing has become an easy cop out for these exchanges.

If the removes all reference to Kanye West and changes its name from Coinye, fine. I don't see anything wrong with COYE. But you all have to be kidding me if you're denying that this coin's worth consists only of what it sponged off of Kanye West. And it isn't a parody--altcoins are all about branding, and this one is branding itself as Kanye. I just saw a post on the last page where someone was talking about how the coin would take off when more of Kanye's fans start talking about it. Speculators in this coin are aiming to profit off of Kanye's brand/image.

Would I still have taken it down if I didn't believe the lawyers were in the right? I don't know--I probably would have paused it while I contacted my lawyer friend and asked him about it. And if he told me the law was on their side, I think I would take it down.

Those are my reasons. I'm getting a sense from some of you that you think I'm not admitting something, but I can't quite see what I should be ashamed to admit.

dont worry. all these guys are just pissed that they wasted time/money for this and dont really have anywhere stable to dump it. buyer's remorse and denial is a bitch.

they all have these grandiose ideas that it'll get picked up by Cryptsy, or BTC-e, or BTER, etc, and they can dump their millions of COYE and get rich.

if Kanye's lawyers have convinced you that facilitating the trade of this coin is wrong, then it's your right to act on your own moral compass. it's not a bad idea to avoid such legal ramifications anyway, less headache to deal with.

I said ages ago a simple name change would be best.   Cartoons or whatever you want to post like silly doge coin would be way harder to even threaten.   He cant sue a newspaper for a cartoon parody or anybody online.    Comedy is a well known way to avoid being sued, a branded financal exchange is something else though.

South Park as mentioned is comedy, how many cases of libel does even one episode of family guy contain must be at least dozens but not suable afaik

I too agree with this as a community if we want this to fly we need a floor to this currency instead of allow it to fall anything lower then 50 satoshi. As this would generally benefit all in the long run, Who doesn't want to make profit by a large margin?

Fair answer, although I still believe regardless that the community has grown large enough despite Kanye West. The coinye community has
already made the first youtube tip bot. I would definitely support a move to further coinye from all the Kanye West references.
