is it just me or is anyone else getting annoyed that blocksolved hasn't temporarily disabled applications for their pool?? I mined there since week 1, and I was # 4 or 5 on list with 1 R9270x. For the past 2 weeks?, they have had more than 50% of the coins hashrate, and have done nothing to try to help spread the hash. I understand wanting all the miners = u get more fees, but if it ruins the coin, or ruins other pools, then is it really worth it? They literally have 10x more hash rate then the next pool, and 4-5x or more than all the other major pools combined. If just 2-4 of the top whales moved, it would make the coin enjoyable for all miners, and those whales would get MORE COINS if they had less people to split them with. Make sense to anyone else?

I like this coin, I just picked some up on MINTPAL.com

I think the super high-coin-count will hold prices back a bit.  But at 4-5 satoshis... Its a steal!

I think the setback at launch was actually good for this coin. The fix on the diff really worked perfect and the distribution is good.
Its one of the few good coins that wasn't hyped and pumped, so it managed to have a healthy growth.

Even now that we begin to see some increase on mining and trading volume, its very underrated.

Its my favorite coin at the moment.

I'm dropping to 0 fees for 24 hours and 20000 block reward for the next 20 blocks or midnight GMT (whichever comes first)!!!

3 of the 20k bonuses claimed! 17 more to go...

Only 7 bonuses left!! Be quick!

That's all folks! 400000 bounty given out in under 2 hours. We are still running at 0% so come and join us to spread that hash and protect the coin.

Nut

Just a suggestion:

fix your coin/day calculation on your pool.  That's what most people use to judge which pool to use, and your's underestimates by quite a bit.  That could be a big reason you're seeing so many people going to other pools in the first place.  Here's an article on how to get a good estimate:

http://www.holynerdvana.com/2014/02/how-to-calculate-coins-per-day-for-any.html

Really? Wow, I would like to think that miners knew how mining worked and rather than look at the calcs, looked at the block find times else I could just set it to 1000000000000 per day and destroy networks.

Still I fear you have a point. Sad I'll sort it in a bit. The issue is with the way mpos calculates it, it's based on a fixed block size but as we all know the size is changing so it will only be a point in time.

Wow theres a coin with my name in it!!! Cool I gotta get my hands on some.
I've been reading through some of the thread looks like theirs no early adopter advantage with this coin.
Why did the devs decided to elevate the coin height to 160k/block. It kind of defeated the purpose of whales not having an insta-mine advantage early but intead they have a late insta-mine advantage lol

anyway it has a cool name better then cat or dogecoin, so I'll grab some

Well difficulty has more than tripled over the past few days. If it doesn't go back down again then the increase in payouts won't make up for that, so people who were mining earlier do have something of an advantage.

Calcs updated.

Miners, you should really be looking at the blocks page to see how profitable a pool is and NOT the per day calculators.

The calcs in mpos are based on a fixed block size by default AND are only a guess based on your hash rate. If you are submitting bad shares or the pool is having bad luck and or orphans that will be way out (and usually is).

A better gauge of your daily income is the blocks page and look for the percentage area. 100% is the "expected" based on the coins difficulty. The lower the number the better. Ignore the 1hour/24 hour as they are subject to HUGE swings due to luck and variance. The 7day, 4week, and "all time" are a much more dependable way of judging the pools profitability and over all luck.

Happy mining,

Nut

Don't Fricken remind me... I feel kinda sick that I mined from the 1st hour this coin was launched until now, and now whales are mining more now then I did the whole 2 months of this coins existence. I'm not hating on any whales I mean they did risk money on their gear but the way the rewards were designed wasn't the finest  because like you said it basically traded early insta-mine for a late insta-mine. There was suppose to be a good distribution of Microcoin early on and there was but that has been pretty much been negated by now.

you could have quietly mined till block 160k, but you wanted to tell everyone about it. I believe someone got banned  Grin - and now microcoin is starting to be in season. Kinda makes me wish max and panda dragged on longer as a distraction.

I guess I'm going to go over to coinmarketcap and bug them to add us so we can get more exposure even though It will end up making me mine exponentially less coins ugh

I guess I'm going to go over to coinmarketcap and bug them to add us so we can get more exposure even though It will end up making me mine exponentially less coins ugh

IMO it's a good thing that you told people about it, should not keep this so low profile until block 160K, might be too late then if the decline in rewards already started. Be glad that price is going up, volume is going up. More people mining. This is a good thing right???  Grin Grin
