WTF Is with cryptsy?

I can't log in! I typed login and password correctly, hit enter and it took me back to login page.
When I did it again, it returns me to main page and says: "A security error has occurred"

Luckily - I just withdraw my dents a couple minutes ago. Exactly 3 minutes before it happened!

I was experiencing the same problems you were... acting very buggy on login.

Moved all my Dents out of Cryptsy for now.

https://pool.chunky.ms/42/ <-- we just got added to the recommended pool list, but we need more hashes -- currently at 10 MH/s, need to at least double that to get a reasonable block time

any takers?

https://chunkypools.com - POT | WC | DOGE | MUN | RPC | DEF | DGB | KDC | RUBY | POT | STP | SPN | PCN

1% PROP - SSL - custom MPOS - profit-switching port - single-sign on - great IRC community - scalable architecture - no downtime

can some one explain me ... what stand on the base of his price?... it is ``invented`` out of air?.... if that`s so.. in one month or faster we will see it DEAD ... or allmost like dead...., or I`m wrong... but...I still do not get it... 1x42 coin= ~1 milion dollar, value based on what?... dreams....?

scarce?..... only 42 coins?

pfff.... then le`s clone it... and make 11 coins... and with 1 coin at a value of 3-4 millions $ ... fucking shit...inventions over inventions... inovations... take something of that... combined with that... and add a sparkle of dreams to fool people , come one?...

we wanna see something from scratch... no nothing from there and there...

why bitcoin devs have not tought about it?.... why make so many millions of btc?... instead of 30 btc?.... with astronomical invented price out of thin air?

scarce and uniquie?.... that`s all that it takes?... come onnnnnnnnnn

we are not so foolish like before... we learned from mistakes... we had enough with alt coins... dream coins... dog coins.. and dickcoins... what ever invented.. cloned... addes something from quark.. added from skein... added from what ever bull shit github free source

....really dissapointed

I totally understand your cynicism of Alt Coins.  But take a little time to research 42, go through the entire thread.

Aside from the built-in rarity of the coin, it is also unique in that every effort is made for the mining to be fairly distributed.

Read this article about 42 for more insight into what this coin is about:
http://www.businessinsider.com/introducing-42coin-2014-1

Hope this helps.

The life of a crypto depends only over the popularity and trust by the masses. Beyond that lies the functionality.
We could find new altcoins popping out everyday.
But, only certain coins comes with few necessary changes and stands out of the crowd.
Keeping this in mind, what makes "42" much special than Bitcoin or Litecoin is

1. Extremely faster transactions - only 42 seconds

But bitcoin transactions takes more than half an hour to get confirmed.

2. Difficulty adjustments - Mere 7.5 minutes

Since the difficulty gets adjusted so rapidly, the pump and dump syndrome by certain profitability mining multiple pools gets evaded.
Thus the rarity of the coin remains intact.
But bitcoin and litecoin coin's difficulty adjustments takes many days to get adjusted thus a lots of mining power are wasted abruptly.

3. We all know that Bitcoin and Litecoin has been mined in millions and only those whales who pre-mined them are controlling the market prices.
So, when these hoarders dump their coins, the market crashes lethally.
Thus we are in a position to get behind some new alternatives so save ourselves from this volatile market.

Therefore get in the train to mine 42

Very insightful.  We need to project these positive aspects of the coin every which way we can.

pool recommendations:

http://42.forkpool.com/index.php
http://p2pool.org:4242/static/

both have not let me down as of now, both could use some additional Mh/s

also, using the automatic payout function is advisable

************ NOTICE TO ALL USERS *******************

PLEASE STOP USING HACKSHARDS POOL - Lots of reports coming in with issues and theft. Also, stop using .nl or untrusted/easy to scam domains. Do some research yourself, do a WHOIS LOOK UP. Don't go after NEWLY developed domains, GO for long-term pools that have a reputation and good security mechanism.

ALWAYS LOOK AT OP for UPDATES, VERIFIED & RECOMMENDED LIST OF POOLS!

Also, CryptoPools.com is going down. DO NOT USE IT EITHER!!!

All Pools must go to Verification Processes to be ADDED @ OP for 'RECOMMENDED' Pool Choices

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND p2pool.org

Lol, so all sites from the netherlands are untrusted or scam? You made my day kid.

+1 WTF

First of all. The only way someone can have there shit stolen on my site is if they are using the same usernames and passwords on multiple sites.  And then they people still need to know how to decode the password hashes...  I don't have a single clue why people are claiming that there has been stolen coins on my site.  I did a database search multiple different times and I have YET to see a single duplicate payout address. Therefor either 1. They are lieing. or 2. They are sharing there passwords with someone. or 3. they use the same pw and pin on multiple sites and those sites are the ones stealing.

Official post on my 42 pool http://42.hackshardgaming.net

Quote
It has come to my attention that some peoples coins have disapeared off there account.  I would like to stress the fact that it is recommended to use a DIFFERENT PASSWORD and PIN NUMBER on each site that you visit.  The only way your coins are going to be taken without you doing it yourself is if you have either 1.  Shared your passwords with a friend. or 2. Shared your pin and username across multiple pools.  I have never and will never change peoples payout addresses.  The only thing we did was change the payout threshold a few days ago when we fixed it for all users that had an automatic payout already set.  So I will say again

IF YOU ARE USING THE SAME PWD ON MULTIPLE SITES CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD AND PIN NOW!

Maybe this has been addressed, but the only thing I can see as a downside for 42 is the size of the transaction fee. I'm super interested in this coin and comitting a small portion of my mining capabilities, so I really want it to succeed.

I know the fees have been set as low as it can go, but is there no way around this to reduce it further?

Need an advice, I really trust that 42 value will explode soon and I have some Dents.
Should I sell my other cryptos (near half BTC) to invest while the value is still "low" ?
I don't want to regret it.. (we never know)
What do you think ?

Don't panic, but number 3 isn't really valid. Half the 42coins currently available were in the premine. Know it and accept it. The dev team could crash the market at any time and buy all the cheap dents. Hint hint... I've got my buy orders set, let's shake out some weak hands!

That is normal: wallet needs to read the entire 42 coin blockchain for the "out of sync" notice to disappear.

Leave your wallet on for an hour or so, the message will disappear.

To anyone having 42 coins missing from a pool check your address if it's 4GqmKHW2v6ZnFa85uGLz7SQ8UkoK7GK9ar
change it and change your password. http://altexplorer.net/address/4GqmKHW2v6ZnFa85uGLz7SQ8UkoK7GK9ar 156 transactions and counting

i noticed on 42.forpool that my account had been set to auto payout and anonymous and now looking at CONTRIBUTOR HASHRATES the top 15 have been set to anonymous dont know if this was done to try to protect people or what but might want to check your address just incase

If this helps you save some 42coin and ya want to make a donation heres my address

Such a fee is required to keep miners alive.

I decided to sell off all my other "lesser" cryptos and committed into investing it in 42.
I feel its something different and exciting and more genuine than all these other Alts.
IMHO, other than Litecoin, Mastercoin, and Alien Coin, I really do not see anything else
worth getting into.

EDIT:
I do not see 42 Coin as a quick profit coin, this is going to play out for while.
I am holding out for $1 a Dent.  Smiley

I only started with alt coins last November, got in at $5 a LTC, started with £400, made some money, then dabbled in other smaller alt coins, made a bit of profit here and there, kept my LTC all this time. But now I have got rid of EVERYTHING, and put all of my profit, 5BTC worth into 42coin, it will make or break me, but there you go, this sort of stuff is not for the faint hearted.
