I'm disturbed this coin is so low at the moment!
I think this could change in february when all alt coins finally start to rise in value due to btc rising again. I initially bought in at 470 with I think with 0.5 bitcoins and now look, it is almost 250. I hope the prices goes back up... I hope.

You know what.
I bought in with a lot of money and I'm not selling for a loss. All altcoins are down at the moment and I think they will all go back up. I'm just a bit pissed off that when any altcoin goes on the market it gets priced 10x what it eventually goes down to in a short term. Some of us buy coins expecting a return for whatever reason from paying bills to whatever it is you need the money for.
I am going to wait this out and see it to the end or at least until it goes up in value. I'm putting my trust in Hendo and Maco and if I ended up making a shitty speculative investment in the end, then so be it.
I'm all in with this coin for what I put in. It is either I make gains or I lose my investment completely. I'm done caring about the price for now. I'm not in favor of block reward halving for this coin. I hope it all gets mined asap.
Every single coin I distributed my $3,000 worth of btc into lately has gone down. Battlecoin, Ron Paul Coin, Dogecoin, Moon Coin, Lotto Coin, 42Coin. I have taken losses on all those coins. Fuck taking a loss. I'm going to wait and hold all my coins.

If someone has a large amount of 42coin and is looking to invest it, here is a great opportunity. I am looking for one or two large 42coin holders to fund the bankroll of 42dice.com. Hendo and maco have been supporting this project for a while and it is now 100% complete. The house edge is 1% and the only thing needed for this to take off is an investor. If you are interested please get in contact with me. For everyone else 42dice.com will be officially released soon!

A 1% house edge is not very reassuring. The "element of ruin" calculations are beyond what I'm willing to do for a forum post, but my memory tells me that you need a LARGE pool to have a low chance of losing the houses "bankroll" with that low edge. I would fear even 2%.

Your calculations do not factor in social elements and other variables. However this is why I am looking for 2 or 3 investors, to greatly minimize risk. Just as a side note I have spoken with Hendo and maco and they are backing this project. Feel free to address me with any other concerns.

Just a few fun facts about 42.42 is the 3rd Primary pseudoperfect number http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primary_pseudoperfect_number
2, 6, 42, 1806, 47058, 2214502422, 52495396602 In 1966, mathematician Paul Cooper theorized that the fastest, most efficient way to travel across continents would be to bore a straight hollow tube directly through the Earth, connecting a set of antipodes, remove the air from the tube and fall through. The first half of the journey consists of free-fall acceleration, while the second half consists of an exactly equal deceleration. The time for such a journey works out to be 42 minutes. Even if the tube does not pass through the exact center of the Earth, the time for a journey powered entirely by gravity (known as a gravity train) always works out to be 42 minutes, so long as the tube remains friction-free, as while the force of gravity would be lessened, the distance traveled is reduced at an equal rate. (The same idea was proposed, without calculation by Lewis Carroll in 1893 in Sylvie and Bruno Concluded.) The password expiration policy for a Microsoft Windows domain defaults to 42 days The number 42 appears in various contexts in Christianity. There are 42 generations (names) in the Gospel of Matthew's version of the Genealogy of Jesus; it is prophesied that for 42 months the Beast will hold dominion over the Earth (Revelation 13:5); 42 men of Beth-azmaveth were counted in the census of men of Israel upon return from exile (Ezra 2:24); God sent bears to maul 42 of the teenage boys who mocked Elisha for his baldness (2 Kings 2:23), etc. The Gutenberg Bible is also known as the "42-line Bible", as the book contained 42 lines per page. In Alice in wonderland. The White Queen announces her age as "one hundred and one, five months and a day", which - if the best possible date is assumed for the action of Through the Looking-Glass - gives a total of 37,044 days. With the further (textually unconfirmed) assumption that both Queens were born on the same day their combined age becomes 74,088 days, which is 42 x 42 x 42. Some commentators have asserted that this is deliberate on Carroll's part. There are 42 US gallons in a barrel of oil. In the Shakespearean play Romeo and Juliet, Juliet takes a potion that makes her appear dead for 42 hours.

Indeed, I used many of these for my dolphins rant (the dolphin of course a reference to hitchhiker and 42) When I was a kid, after reading hitchhikers I told my brother the whole "42 is the answer, find the question!" thing and he was hunting for it for over a year before he read the series too and hit me. Now if it would just bounce back up so I am not eating my investment I would do 42 happy dance rotations (widdershins) Good to see you posting Hendo, wild speculations abound. lol 42: 4LBanYrGB6sVDNbKmWnthZ46DoMXxRcBqJ

Truth hurt ? Please tell us what you find positive about a network that struggles to mint 100 blocks per day. What truth? We understood the position of infovortice2013 the first time, it is not needed to repeat 10+ times after that with nothing helpful in mind. No one has guaranteed anything to anyone, yes? Maybe your expectations were unrealistic? If bitcoin have a future, then 42Coin have a future. Just wait.
