Here are some noob questions that I want addressed:
1. When can we expect to reach the coin limit(2billion coins)? Given that there currently are 204,040 coins in circulation, this cap seems beyond my life span? Or will we see an exponential growth when the POS really starts to set in?
2. Are coins generated mainly through POW or is POS the focus here?
3. What measures will be taken to make sure that the coins spreads in to the hands of many? As I see it, POS could lead to a centralization of supply.

1. There's no hard limit of 2billion, that was my bad. Fees are destroyed. 2billion is the max one can send per TX 2. Most coins are generated through PoW. PoS is very small compared. 3. How would that lead? The many who want the coin can purchase it and use it or stake it

What about 50 CACH and 0.1 per user?
I just sent you 30 cache for the giveaway. TX ID is: 482a982a9dba3a48f2c9f373526afc082af3675aecf8ba01f2c842c52642445f I personally think it should be a minimum of 1 cache per person. Ask in the IRC channel, I am sure there are others who would be willing to contribute to it. Do we have a cachecoin twitter yet? If so, it should be announced there and at the site now that we cant do giveaway threads here.

Fair launch, no instamine, POS for the people who don't have the privileges to mine, and a catchy name! Well done sir, looking forward to see how this pans out! I like the idea of PoS, but if it would generates too much, it could be a problem - and by that I mean "the rich getting richer". But since there only is a low PoS the effect, as I see it, should be exclusively for the better.

cach.catcoin.cz pool is broken, no block since 112h is impossible at current diff, please check the wallt and / or restart the pool Oh and @the miners, change to p2pool until its fixed ^^ There was a block in the past that took 776.66% of expected time to find, but now we are at 1897.9%, so that is highly suspicious - thaw would be extremely bad luck and chance for block taking that long to find is approximately about 1 in 250000. I've restarted stratum and coind, re-checked configs and increased stratum logging, so I hope now everything will go well.

Are you sure about that? 200,000(current amount of coins) * 0.01 = 2000btc. Which makes the market cap $1,600,000. Hard to tell, since almost no one are selling their precious CACH's.

I like the idea of PoS, but if it would generates too much, it could be a problem - and by that I mean "the rich getting richer". But since there only is a low PoS the effect, as I see it, should be exclusively for the better.
Theoretically, the maximal gain from PoS is equal to 5% interest per year, but due to PoS having its own difficulty and other factors (coins have to be still at least 7 days). In my personal wallet wit relatively low coin circulation I got about 0.15% "interest" via PoS per month, equaling to about 1.8% interest per year. On the other hand, taking current block reward and estimating coins mined in the next month, the coin supply will increase by 25%. So now, when the coin is relatively young, PoW rewards are 160x more than PoS rewards. If the difficulty of PoW and PoS won't change (but is will, as PoS does have its own difficulty, so the more people just sit on their bag with money, the less they earn with it ), they will become approximately the same after about 38 years. So I guess no reason to worry about rich people getting even richer. Rich people will get only slightly richer, miners earnings will easily dominate over their combined earnings. But the small PoS is incentive for people to hold their wallets running even if they are not actively participating in transactions (unlike for example bitcoin, which I open only once per few days when I either want to send money or verify that some money arrived in my wallet), so it helps to grow large and stable network.

Short update on the statspage http://stats.cachecoin.org/Now shows: - latest blocks
- average time between mined blocks for the last , last 10 and last 100
- some more stats
Some more stats will follow, just finally figured out a way to hack efficiently into the explorer database and not having to parse the whole blockchain myself. Wait for some nice graphs to come If someone is handy with design stuff, a nice logo for the coin and the page would be amazing!

The market cap is rather somewhere at 20,000 BTC concerning all the backgrounds. Who the hell sells a coin if there are only 200k available.... not below 0.1 BTC :-)
