Hello, can I use wallet.dat of 2015?

no
and yes

Read post on the thead
You may have a POW wallet and now we re in POS wallet
Someone post each step to go into POS wallet

good luck

PS : Somebody have a link to DL the blockchain ?  the wallet dont want to do it  :/

Thanks. My wallet.dat is POS. But I still don't see any transaction. I entered every command on console. Maybe I should try with old pow wallet.

You need to check if your wallet is up to date - if it downloaded whole blockchain. Please go to our explorer and verify number of blocks in your wallet is same as on explorer's page https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nobl/

try to send the coins to your wallet... that's what I did... and it works like a charm...

I don t know if you re talking to me :p but if yes
To send coins you need a synch wallet

Problem is the blockchain is old and HD wallet can t DL it entirely

I dont think thats a problem. I download the new clean wallet https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Download around two months ago and it was syncing almost 2 weeks on my atom cpu and 2 nodes connections. Now I have 6 connections and synced, staking.

Maibe someone can upload blockchain file somewhere. I would, but I cant risk seeding some private info from my wallet by mistake, I dont know things so good to be 100% sure its safe.

"Checkpoint is too old" message is more like a warning than an error. I will look into it and fix it if it is happening. Do not worry too much about it. It is pretty much harmless.

Yes, we switched from PoW to PoS 3 years ago to fix inflation problem and also to prevent attacks. In the past NobleCoin was under 51% attack when we were still PoW coin.

Are you using windows?

I have uploaded current blockchain. Please check download page at https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Download

And follow the procedure:
1. download blockchain.tgz file
2. unpack it into directory where you have your current blockchain files
3. start noblecoin-qt.exe
4. verify if your wallet accepted those files

I have uploaded blockchain files from linux and thinking they should work. But if there is an issue please let me know.

Thanks!

I am one of the "new buyers who has been steadily driving the price of this coin up. I will tell you why the price is slowly rising...because people like myself who are fairly new to crypto...are taking some profit and wanting to invest in a solid coin that is under a penny. NOBL has HUGE potential. It just needs help getting the word out. If you are reading this. Please sign on to twitter use #NOBL #Noblecoin as much as possible. And join Noblecoin's Subreddit. There are only 300 members. If more people saw the charts on this coin and visited the website....we would be over a cent by the end of the month. If there is anyway else that you all think I could help spread the word about this coin let me know...Hope to hear back from you all. Grin

NOBL got a humongous break on its price tag & market capitalization that we've been waiting for years.

our coin is a great coin with great Dev team... hoping for the market to embrace our coin...

 Wink

I agree on the Price but am curious as to why it's going up with little updates, roadmaps, etc.
Who is the Dev team for Noble now?

i'm also curious on the price... had sent Rofo a PM about this and asked him on the reason on the sudden surge on the price and market capitalization...

anyhow, my take is that the Law of Supply and Demand had kicked in... people are buying NOBL... the demand is high compared to the supply or availble coins that are sold...

this is just my take though... again, i don't really know what exactly had pulled-up the price of our coin (NOBL) these days...

About an hour ago. I tweeted a screenshot of the 3 month chart from coinmarketcap.com to a crypto trading adviser who has a loyal following of about 25k people. I honestly think that helped...It doesnt take much. I wish this discussion thread could get partially moved to subreddit. RDD has 32k members and a thriving community and look at the growth. It wasn't just Mcafee.

I see now there was a blockchain swap.

What was the reason for it?

He isnt my adviser. I just follow him and was hoping it got some new eyes on NOBL because of his large audience. I am just a bit frustrated...this coin has so much potential.

It's an extremely good sign that this coin appears to be closely linked to the development of reputable mobile apps (take a look at NoblePay and the other "Noble" mobile app developments) that already are used for peer to peer financial transactions. At a fraction of a penny, market cap hovering around 6M at the moment, and a reasonable number of coins in circulation, this is definitely far underpriced, with tons of room to grow and multiply over the next year exponentially. I wonder if they're waiting to have a line of working products before making an announcement this year and pushing the marketing? My one complaint is that they could be more active about being more visible, but maybe they don't want the attention before there's more progress and a clearer road map for the next year or so.

Either way - let's all rejoice in the fact that we're here early before that hits. Very lucky find at this stage I think, and keeping my fingers crossed!

See EagleFlies post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=402667.msg27491441#msg27491441

"we switched from PoW to PoS 3 years ago to fix inflation problem and also to prevent attacks. In the past NobleCoin was under 51% attack when we were still PoW coin."

Noble is one of the most legitimate coins out there and was launched and developed extremely fairly, with no premine and a super honest dev.
Even after 4 years it's still going strong and has a very solid foundation.
All it would take is for a few developments to be implemented and everyone would be falling over themselves to get on board.

Agreed, and considering the renewed surge and interest in alternative cryptos as bitcoin shows its weaknesses, it would be shocking to me if the devs were not already scrambling to launch something soon. I suppose only time will tell, but really wish we could have just a LITTLE more movement or some sort of sign of what's is or will happen.

Attempting to send bitcoin from coinbase earlier this morning is already a reminder of why we need payment systems like these. 0 confirmations after 12 hours xD

Can't wait to see what's in store for us these first 31 days of 2018!
