Noble pos wallet is indeed a very bad design,my last pos staking was 29/11/15..and after about 2.5 months when i open my wallet and try to stake,i think no one will happy if the wallet said "Not minting because you don`t have mature coins"...so yes...this wallet is a joke!
No , the specs have been mentioned many times , the fact that so few seem to understand it , that is what is a joke. Noble PoS is different from the standard PoS, where you can leave it offline for months and then claim your full reward. It should be staked every 2 or 3 days (minimum). But if you just let it sit for a week or more, then you are better off resending your entire amount back to yourself to reset it.
Basically if you don't stake , the penalty for not supporting the network is that you lose your stake.Do you understand now? FYI: Side effect to the penalty of losing your stake if you don't support the network , is it also lowers the inflation rate. you actually prooving my point of "bad designed"..cheers! "a man go to a bank created a saving account and the bank manager told him that : you have to report to bank minimum once/3 days ..or you will lost your interest earn"

No not a bad design a Different design, which if you have bothered to read the forum, was apparent. Here the Noble example, you go to work with a Team of people , they work daily , you only show up for work every 2 months, guess what , with this coin you are not paid for the days where you did not work. It is that simple, if you don't like it, switch to another PoS coin, its not like there are not others to choose from. But if you decide to stay with this one , just combine all of your Noble into 1 Block and stake it every 2 or 3 days, and if you go over a week and forgot to stake, just resend that block back to yourself and wait 24 hours and receive max payout, it is not that hard to understand. FYI: DIAMOND, DUST, PHS, MINT, & ZEIT , all work the Standard way , if that is what you prefer, but Noble chose a different path, so choose yours.

a little flaw is that its doesnt stake at all if its closed for to long it should stake but with zero rewards because the system want to reward just active wallets
so i think use magi XMG ruleset for rewards is fine but for weight (which affect chance to mint) its wrong
the goal from usability side should be always no micromanagement needed
a zero reward stake would create no need for micromanagement
if for some reason u where offline a month ur first day u stake for zero rewards but next day u start earning normal

I see everything seems to be business as usual around here. I have a question to throw out in the open. Did we ever figure out after all that has transpired how many Noble coins are in the wild? For example the 300m at the top of the rich list was Cryptsy cold wallet I do believe, Nothing moved in a very long time now Cryptsy is defunct. I very seriously doubt they will dig up old server and try to sell. I also noticed many many very old address on the rich list that haven't moved forever. I have always thought there were far less noble coins around than the number at the top of the block explorer. What do you guys think? Fish

It does look like an interesting question. But probably you will not be able to find "scientific" answers to it. We can only make more or less educated guesses. There was also some money lost at Mintpal AFAIK. If you look at rich list there is lost of addresses which were not touched for 200 or 300 days. Maybe you could start from here? Calculate how much money was not touched for 200 or 300 days and make some guesses?

Makes sense. Could you please create bounty for this? Not sure how much work is needed for this but we should definitely track interesting concepts like this. Thanks!

Anyway fun to think about. The new app is looking sweet, progress continues. Im still ready to pay out any bounties from the bounties page. oops I ve lost the Bounties page. can some one re-post the link. Thanks Fish

I sold my noble a while back, but I still check in to see whats new for shits and grins.
Someone or a group tried to pump the coin and you all acted like little kids. You should take your sells off the books and let them buy and pump the coin as they please and sell when they pump it up to 50 or 100 sat. the 15 sell wall is ridiculous.

This is one of the biggest problems in keeping a price stable. There always seems to be some idiot that keeps selling no matter what. It is sad but true. I personally have seen this happen several times in the past few years. Dont put me in the You all category, I understand and I dont like it. I agree has to be some kids, or someone who does not value money the same. Pull your sells and give the new app a chance to bring people in. Fish

NOBL works, that was something we intended to look at/finalise down the road. We just enjoy calling the system as a whole NOBLE.
NBL - fits in with the usual 3 digit ticker though right ? I do not advise NOB childish humour aside

Would sure be great to see this fixed, if anything to keep angry users who think the reason why they can't stake is due to something more serious (which isn't entirely their fault since the error message is erroneous) and flame the board a la Pringles. Can't be that hard to do - just take the reward down to zero after n confirmations . . .

In the Changing of the FEE News @ Poloniex ExchangeStarts March 20th, 2016 https://poloniex.com/fees/Every 24 hours, we will calculate the last 30 days of trading volume on your account and dynamically adjust your fees according to the following schedule: Maker Taker Trade Volume (trailing 30 day avg) 0.15% 0.25% < 600 BTC 0.14% 0.24% = 600 BTC 0.12% 0.22% = 1,200 BTC 0.10% 0.20% = 2,400 BTC 0.08% 0.16% = 6,000 BTC 0.05% 0.14% = 12,000 BTC 0.02% 0.12% = 18,000 BTC 0.00% 0.10% = 24,000 BTC I don't know why but it seems like every time these exchanges get into trouble behind the scenes, they start changing their fee structure. Could just be a coincidence , but a friendly reminder on Poloniex . Never Leave more coins sitting on an exchange than what you are willing to Lose!!!Cryptsy changed their Fee structure to favor traders and in less than 6 months they were done , and now Poloniex is doing something similar. Starting the 6 month timer.http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20160920T0001&p0=412&msg=Poloniex+Exchange+Still+Open+or+Forever+Closed!!!&font=cursiveWould seriously recommend Noble start looking at getting on Yobit for .1 btc or Cryptopia exchange just to have a 2nd exchange.
