Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

X11Coin is doing pretty well right now using the X11 protocol, for Scrypt, CGA is spikey, so you can mine it but have to time your sells.

Vertcoin so dropped the ball on privacy. Stealth addresses per se will not cut mustard.

Non-technical coin. Use OZC to intro coins to everyday aussies: http://ozziecoin.com

The X11 coin im talking about is called "X11Coin".
It's hard to compare exactly between Vert and X11Coin because the hashrates vary so widely
The same rig on Vert get's approx 520KHs and on X11Coin get's 4.8MH
I haven't worked out exactly the USD/KHs/day numbers though.

Anyone able to help me out here. Long story short, my config has somehow gotten messed up. I was running this before with my R9 290s getting 420 each, not it crashes when I launch vertminer. It's isnt my system as cgminer is running fine at 875khs. Any help would be AMAZING!

,
"intensity" : "19, 20, 20, 20, 19",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"gpu-engine" : "1000",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500",
"gpu-memdiff" : "0",
"gpu-vddc" : "1.049",
"thread-concurrency" : "24550",

"gpu-threads" : "1",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"scrypt-vert" : true,

"hotplug" : "5",
"log" : "5",
"no-pool-disable" : true,

"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin"
}

You can troubleshoot by first by setting intensity to 13, and leaving gpu-engine, gpu-memclock, gpu-powertune, gpu-vddc, thread-concurrency out (ie remove those lines). Run vertminer with this barebone config and vertminer will generate a file scrypt140121Tahitiglg2tc-something-.bin  That tc-something will show you a suitable thread-concurrency which you can use. Run vertminer.  If it works, bring in other config  gpu-engine, gpu-memclock etc one-by-one and run vertminer.  You can then figure out which config line is causing you problem.

Ok, did some math.
My current VTC rig runs at 520KHs, which produces about $1.90 per day in VTC.
I tried running that rig on the "X11Coin" using the X11 algorithm and got 4.8MH for the same hardware.
It generated a daily rate of $5.80.
So at this point in time, it's about 3x more profitable for me to mine the X11Coin rather than VTC.
Add to this the fact that I have had great difficulty in getting vertminer to work on my 7850s, some posts of which you may have already seen.

Yes... spend 10,000 USD so you can generate an extra 10% mining profit. Then Watch your 10,000 go below 5,000. Great advice lolz

Ozzie, i know you are a big DRK supporter as i am too, but consider to not have all eggs into one basket only. VTC is still a very nice place to
put the eggs into, spezially on this price.

Ofen heard into DRK threath - You don´t buy the coin, you buy the devs - and on VTC Devs are also working on their coin.

Sorry mate. Did an in depth analysis.  Vtc's stealth address offers no advantages over bitcoin.  Also, it's not good privacy.  Say you had 10 random addresses with 1 Btc in them.  You spend 10 Btc to buy a bike.  Well, cover blown.  Even if I thought stealth addresses were good, I would buy Btc.

Thats not even the point of stealthaddresses and your "in depth" analysis is a joke.

Go read back what stealthaddresses do and who will benefit from it, then feel free to discuss it again.
