There were temporary problems with the stratum server and payments were temporarily halted because of this.
Now all of the issues with the pool are resolved and everything is running again on 8-core 16 GB server.
No transactions have been lost.
Sorry for short downtime, server load increased dramatically and now it's ready for even higher load.

How can I fix this?

Thanks!

Please update your wallet now

As I posted earlier, when I built the KGW release wallet, I forgot to compile UPNP into it. This has resulted in the DNS seeds taking a lot of the load, because not many users are accepting incoming connections.

It would really help if some more of you would re-download from vertcoin.org so you are accepting incoming connections so that new users can sync their wallets quickly.

Please update or new users won't be able to sync their wallets:

http://vertcoin.org/downloads/Vertcoin-setup.exe if you want the installer, http://vertcoin.org/downloads/Vertcoin-Qt-Win.zip if you prefer just the plain files.

add more nodes to vertcoin.conf

Thanks. I have already done that. Deleted everything except wallet.dat and vertcoin.conf and did a restart.

I have a message now sync with network, but nothing is happening. Should it take so long now?

Also I see 0 active connection to the vert network.

I'm going to put up another node now on a cheap VPS.

Will some other people please do the same?

You just need port 5889 allowed inbound, and the wallet run with the -listen switch.

Would have thought that would have done it, maybe you just need to wait a bit longer. I know when i first downloaded the wallet it took a little while to start synching after i added the nodes.

Is this based on a faulty premise? Are scrypt ASICs even price-viable? I've read that they're not much more valuable than GPUs.
