I'm just pissed I misread the market.  I doubled my VTC once today.  This was my second chance.  Damnit man.

Same for me, missed 2 hours and see half prices... Aaah wait i can restack now for what i sold at 0.01

These are just guys pushing the price down for panic sellers so try profit from this untill the price rise again.

ps. look like it goes from 0.0045 to 0.0055 in less then 5 minutes so enough buy support!! Just wait till those yellow people wake up in 2/3 hours

Here here regarding the 'yellow people'

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

$4.66 this beast keep going down

fear is in the air

$3.5 soon  Cool

might move in right then

I picked up 100 at 0.00401 on CoinedUp. Let it tank some more I reckon  Grin

How did you manage that when there weren't even 20 for sale in the order book above ~0.0042  and below 0.006
I sold 301.64866547 VTC Sad . Priced at 0.0041 on Coinedup. I have to buy the i7 4960X for EMU (eMUNIE) Cool.

In vtc.poolz.net
 - quite concerned that I'm only getting like 2/3rd only of the actual hashrate in vertminer console. Expecting a little fluctuation +/- of my actual.
 - also getting 2-3% invalids.

Anyone experiencing this?

2-3% is quite normal with high intensity (19-20). I have <1% but my cards are R9 280x with I 13. Please check HW errors in your miner as well - there should be 0.

Oops, you're right it wasn't 0.00401, it was close though:

the thing is, there is supposed to be 84 million coins and there is only 1.5 million so far

this coin will be heavy to maintain
It is no heavier than Litecoin is today. We get 28800 new coins a day at $5 per coin, yielding $144k daily coin maintenance cost. This is currently 1/5 the maintenance rate of Litecoin.  VTC is the heir apparent, so attracting new funds away from other coins e.g. DOGE (lol) should not be an issue.

Sold 200 at 55 then immediately clicked the button to place buy order at 45 then Cryptsy goes down. Crying indeed! Sad

Out of interest, would there be much difference between a r9 280x or a 290? given the price difference between the 2?

This message is for those among us who value my opinion.

This is about the dumbest money i have ever seen.

1. Cryptsy lists after vtc smashes almost every coin record in three weeks.

2. Mobs of traders bash cryptsy for slow processing of vtc, because even though vtc has been listed on coinedup for weeks, for some reason you just had to move it to cryptsy to sell it there instead.

3. Mobs of traders finally get cryptsy confirms and run over a self-induced cliff like a herd of lemmings in an orgy of self destruction.

4. Vtc gives up less than one day of gains and the chorus of "oh kill me now, its over, dump vtc" rolls in whilst the market is up 10x from four days ago- at the lows.

5. Weak hands puke and go back to doge country.

6. Serious traders look at the performance of vtc sunce inception and begin buying long term holdings.

7. I laugh when we print .015 in a few hours or a few days and the lemmings start trying to crawl back up the cliff on the way to 20 and there are no sellers.

Rinse and repeat.

Don't be dumb money. I do not know the future but that there is just dumb money.

you just need actual numeber of users * just 54,7 (82million/1,5millon) more users using this coin, to maintain the price.
easy calculation: the bigger the community support the bigger the price...

Maxvolts, I've got 290s. Given the price difference I'd buy 280x's if I had to build a new rig.

Ack that still could have worked for you if cryptsy didn't crap out. Be very wary of selling on a consistent down slope. The price is going to turn on a dime.

It generally goes up much faster than it went down.
