I tried to fix the wallet because it's not synching, as described in the first post, but now it just says "No block source available". What do I need to do to fix it?

My windows vertcoin.conf is simple

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=localhost
rpcport=
gen=0
server=1
addnode=192.241.125.216
addnode=192.241.125.217
addnode=192.241.125.218
addnode=192.241.125.219
addnode=192.241.125.220
addnode=31.220.27.16
addnode=162.217.249.196
addnode=54.209.167.16
addnode=54.194.156.200
addnode=54.201.240.25
addnode=162.217.249.196:5889
addnode=113.135.67.2:5889
addnode=180.97.81.42:5889
addnode=50.190.0.70:5889
addnode=1.80.67.179:5889
addnode=114.233.129.126:5889
addnode=113.53.228.35:5889
addnode=54.194.93.0:5889

It works quite well. Give the wallet a little time to connect the nodes.

Thanks, tried it. Gave it about 10 minutes and it still says "No block source available". How long does it take for it to connect?

Just leave it open. Maybe 1-2 hours later it will start to synchronize.

1 - 2 hr, why is taking so long !

Actually, my wallet synchronized with the nodes immediately after I installed it.
I said 1-2 hr, because I want T-800 keep patience. Sorry for misleading other people.

not to sound stupid on the matter but how do i do that

What OS are you using? When you run the mining program, there are files named scrypt_____.bin that are automatically generated in the same directory that your .exe is in. Sometimes these need to be deleted to get the miner to start correctly.

Chris,

Indeed search for those bin files and delete them, then change your tc to 8192.
And with that engine and mem speed I hope you are watercooled.

I run that card at 1050/1500.

Edit: and set powertune to a positive value; mine is stable at 15. Yours is at -10.
And setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 200?
200%? Mine is at 100%. Runs fine.

so for the life of me i cant get this shit to work correctly, it always produces rejects, im using 2 7970 cards with plenty of memory, ive tried every miner available for vertcoin and follow the instructions to a T and nothing ever works. im trying to use vertminer 0.5.3 with a BIN file that looks like this

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 200
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
COLOR 0A

vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o stratum+tcp://vert.moonishere.com:3333 -u xxxxx -p xxxxxxx -v 1 -w 256 -I 13 -g 1 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -10,-10 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-cutoff 90 --gpu-memclock 1650,1650 --gpu-engine 1140,1140 --thread-concurrency 19712

if anyone can please help me out id love to be actually able to mine this if someone can help me figure out why it will not work, ive never had this much trouble mining any coin before and ive mined almost every one out there at one point or another

Try -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1000,1000 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500 and see how it goes. I have 5 7970s that works completely fine with that config.

Can you try to add nodes list in the first page ?

I tried that too. Still stuck at 27000.

I think you should backup wallet and reinstall Vertcoin wallet, download the last version from here http://vertcoin.org/

not correlated in this respect means you have full additivity?
I want to start with 3 GPUs. Would you recommend me to buy a 1500W PSU right away or buy a 1000W now and 500W later in case I want to upgrade?

If you have some basic soldering and electrical skills, check this out.  High quality, very inexpensive 12v power supplies for GPUs.  I got 1200 watts for about $60 and about an hour of time.

It's going to be a gorgeous pump n dump.  Hell, the launch is already a fiasco of premine/IPO manipulation bullshit.

I love how they're bragging that VTC's hash rates are dropping while their's are rising.  They don't seem to understand that Verters are simply taking a break while the top shelf is restocked and having a quick drink at the keg.

Azure Vertcoin Pool - DDOS reisistant P2Pool Node

http://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171/

No registration - No minimal payout!
    To connect to this P2Pool node simply point your miner at:

URL: stratum+tcp://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171
Username: Your vertcoin address
Password: Anything
    Fast facts about P2Pool

1. P2Pool nodes are all part of one single, big, distributed pool
2. When any p2pool worker on any node finds a block, everyone on all the nodes gets paid their share
3. There is no pool wallet, and hence no payout threshold. Payments go directly to your wallet
4. The distributed nature of p2pool resists DDoS attacks

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://cryptopool.cloudapp.net:9171 -u VbNPoxNeiNg6Bj9RwjjS4GazDbKLgUqNDP -p X

lol i wish it was watercooled, it is air conditioned and has fans running on it all the time, seems to be a steady 75-80C on a Crappy XFX 7970 and only 60C on a AMD reference. my tc is also at 8192 and seems to be doing ok after deleting the other bin files

Forget Pandacoin, it has no chance.

One point is pandaclone is advertising Vertcoin, though Vertcoin doesn't need it.

Code:
{
"pools" : [
{
"url" : "...",
"user" : "...",
"pass" : "x"
}
]
,
"intensity" : "20",
"worksize" : "512",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "27000",
"gpu-threads" : "1"
}

on an XFX 290 it gives 440Khash
This one would use 2.5Gb+ of system memory / card . Decrease TC if u have less memory.

also loving the emergency damage control wolong has to throw out there to hide the fact that his UNO pre-pump acquisition cycle was cashed in on by someone else before he could get in front of it.  When you have to dump 400+ UNOs to put out a fire that cost 15 UNO to start, you are not in control, you are in damage control.  PandaCoin itself is now getting cloned and re-cloned to undermine it, and he's now claiming he is doing the cloning... I forsee maybe one more successful pump out of him before he jumps the shark like fontas and all the others who cannot keep their mouth shut once they get one big success.
