VTCPOOL.CO.UK UNDER ATTACK To all vtcpool.co.uk users - I just received the following message from Digital Ocean who currently host the service: Our automated systems have detected an inbound Denial of Service attack against your droplet 95.85.52.246.
Due to the size and scale of this attack, we have been forced to temporarily suspend network connectivity to this droplet, in an effort to mitigate this attack.
Attack Rate: 1312978969 bits (That's well over a gigabit per second) per second incoming
I have written back to them asking them to urgently advise when connectivity will be restored. I am in the process of moving the pool to a pair of redundant, dedicated servers. This attack couldn't have come at a worse time - it will be a week or more until we are fully ready to move to the new servers. I will be liasing with DO today to try and restore service. Your coins are safe, and as soon as I can get connectivity restored service will resume as normal. I appologise for the inconvenience, and hope you'll all be patient and stick with us through this. as an friendly advice, we run several pools. Dont use DO for a pool. We also had to learn the hard way. Yes, I won't be using them again. The pool is being moved to a pair of dedicated servers shortly. UPDATE: Cloudflare has now been implemented on the frontend, and I am talking to DO - hopefully I can get service restored soon. |

Hello! Im volunteering for translation of the website vertcoin.org to Portuguese. I think would be nice to have it in several languages and I'm pretty sure that a lot of vertens would do it also  Also, would be nice to see the site updated with all of the new features of vertcoin. Biding their time:
Watching Vertcoin for the last week has been to watch mastery at work. The investors who are pulling in the coins are crafty. They never take down a sell wall, they never pull too much at once to make the price go up. Sometimes they even put their own sell wall back if it looks like the price is going to inflate.
They’re consolidating their positions while the less-savvy go wandering from coin-to-coin looking for the quick buck. And in six months when the coins with no innovation and the pre-mined coins are all fallen into the wastelands, Vertcoin will be climbing into the rarefied ranks of the few who have made it big and people are going to be saying “I could'a, should'a, would'a” the way they do with bitcoin.

The webfront end is up now but stratum is down. While we are migrating please consider setting up automatic payments and making a manual withdrawal. No coins will be lost in the move but we want to keep everythign safe. |
