Watched three Scrypt coins launch today. On each coin, there were several 10+MH folks. This is a stark increase than I've seen over the past few months. I imagine more and more people will also start noticing this as well and get the clue, the ASICs are already here.

Hardwyre, why Asics? The current Scrypt Asics cost more per hash than GPUs. Why is it not just as conceivable for someone to pay less for a few GPU rigs, seeing as how the Asics are not cost effective unless you have to cram a bunch in to a room with a 100amp service supply? No way is gridseed a threat to GPU miners currently, not by a long shot. The gridseeds are less power consuming and in the long run may cost less but they are no less accessible to a miner of modest means than putting together a GPU rig is. The only factor that could matter at this point is that you can fit more in a space and with less power, making larger farms more of a reality because the constraints of the power grid are lessened. 10 mhash? Nah. Need to play the long game with VTC. If we keep insisting that there is some current threat it won't stick. Miners are the ones who stand to win/lose based on it's ASIC resistance, right? Well it would seem miners are pretty aware of what hardware is out there. At least the serious ones. While an adjustable N-factor that (hopefully) is designed to allow for GPUs to keep up and for ASICs to fall behind (so long as memory updatability is not built in) is a great feature, and perhaps the most promoted one, the viability of this coin in the near term will be in the continued efforts to make it useful and user friendly. And the near term informs the long game in the crypto world.

Yeah, just set "nfactor": "10" or leave it out entirely for litecoin scrypt
So if I don't edit it, then it won't work with normal Scrypt mining? Because modded CGMiner can also be used to mine DOGE the last time I tried it.. There is a configuration option called nfactor, if you don't have this set in your file it will default to 10 (regular scrypt). If you want to use it for vertcoin you need to set that option in your configuration file (or on the command line) to 11. Where do I make the changes? I just unzipped that SGMiner right now and tried pointing the miner at a Scrypt Adaptive N coin and got nothing but hardware errors. My configuration file: "failover-only" : true, "no-pool-disable" : true, "gpu-threads" : "2", "xintensity" : "111", "lookup-gap" : "2", "thread-concurrency" : "8193", "kernel": "psw", "nfactor": "11" nfactor : "11" tells it to mine Adaptive N scrypt. nfactor : "10" is for regular scrypt It seems your xintensity is way too high (it is a straight multiplier of shaders) You may also try to change the kernel (i use ckolivas). Follow the instructions in readmes in doc folder.

But there is no proof, that will be added only coin, that wins, right? Even if we win, there is chance that we won't be added; even if we lose — we can be added, no matter of that. This poll is just information about community choices, isn't it?
