Most altcoins are going downhill at the moment.
This. This is why I'm weighing my options carefully, and at this point vertcoin seems like a winner, especially when compared to all the scrypt clones. VERTCOIN is NOT Altcoin .... would ask from now on do not call it AltcoinVERTCOIN is the Future / everyone knows why, many times we discussed it / Buy now while the price is low, because right now there are people who played a lot of exchanges and reduce the price through small sales ... and those who quickly sell give even lower prices ... thus the price goes down, and people with money buy at very low prices now After 6-8 months the price will be at least 0.01-0.015 Trust me Silence - 15 months experience in the stock market Don't get me wrong, I mine VTC, I believe VTC, my portfolio is 75% VTC. This is the most promising coin, especially since I can already get my hands on ASICs in NY NOW. But there is nothing except ASIC resistance that differentiates this coin from others. Distributed exchange and stealth addresses would be a big plus... I would also start integrating (building on top of) ethereum framework now. This would make this a coin of the future. I agree with what you're saying, but I think you're underestimating how important ASIC resistance is. It's is the only reason LTC got off the ground. As long as there is a supply of GPU miners, there will be a demand for ASIC-resistant coins. And this is the first-mover of the next generation of them.

This is enough till end of 2014 for sure. What do you think will happen to LTC once more ASICs come out?

I have a GPU temp question... only mining for about 3 months and the weather has been nice- however, the last 3 days here (in Texas) its starting to warm up and my back room and rigs are showing the results. I plan on moving the rigs to another room with better cooling in a few weeks, but until then please advise. I have 2 rigs with 3 GPU each (MSI R9280x) and also currently using 3 external fans to help. They normally all run in the 70-79c range but now I am seeing some peaks at 82, 83 on a few cards, and I know those will rise as our weather continues in that direction soon. What can I do to lower those temps? (I am ok to lose some hash in the process) Will lowering my intensity number or TC help? What max temp should I really be concerned with? I want the cards to last through their normal lifespan so don't want to really max them out too quick. I have heard 80c is what you want to stay under, but not sure if that is valid. I appreciate any advice!

I bough a 12BTU portable A/C at Lowes for $299 which also has dehumidifier. I think dehumidifier is more efficient than A/C till it gets too warm.

yes lower intensity will lower temp. i don't think lower TC only will help. If you lower itensity, check for hw errors you maybe have to adjust TC anyway. try the temp-target option ("--temp-target 80" tells cgminer to keep your card around 80 degrees. and/or use "--temp-overheat xy" to prevent overheating.) i would say: the cooler the better but i think all below 80 is ok. some of my cards are sometimes around 81 - 83 but not for to long (maybe 2-4 hours a day) and i don't worry about that.

It can do some living there, his first language is Chinese and has connections in the Chinese media and advertising agencies. VERT has a large community can look at the social networks just missed more articles and explanations of the possibilities for the currency and of course that can be counted on the whole community

At the moment I looked and I collected some orders for sale ... see them
some always gives low price in the market - look here ...
if there is a sale price of 0.00207000, some makes new offer the price and undercut 0.00206336 0.10000000 VTC
then someone wants to sell immediately and deliver even lower price - thus people lie and sell cheaper ... accordingly he bought large quantities 0.00204005 36.44091512 0.07434129 0.00206336 0.10000000 0.00020634 0.00207000 16.49195906 0.03413836 0.00208949 20.57849498 0.04299856 0.00208950 48.92805660 0.10223517 0.00208956 58.74053828 0.12274188 0.00210000 28.07010228 0.05894721 0.00211900 3.00000000 0.00635700 0.00211999 0.19382282 0.00041090 0.00212000 72.29782010 0.15327138 0.00212811 10.00000000 0.02128110 0.00212850 1.43742286 0.00305955 0.00212853 20.00000000 0.04257060 0.00212859 0.10000000 0.00021286 0.00212860 187.23562926 0.39854976 0.00212870 1.00000000 0.00212870 0.00212897 0.10000000 0.00021290 0.00212900 2.00000000 0.00425800 0.00212950 0.10000000 0.00021295 0.00213244 0.19909019 0.00042455 0.00213248 0.10000000 0.00021325 0.00213260 0.10000000 0.00021326 0.00213261 0.10000000 0.00021326 0.00213262 55.31351484 0.11796271 0.00213265 6.32812500 0.01349568 0.00213266 3.81661048 0.00813953 0.00214169 0.15585370 0.00033379 0.00214285 267.66918667 0.57357492 0.00215000 4.00000000 0.00860000 0.00215973 0.11414113 0.00024651 0.00215999 4.74609375 0.01025152 0.00216671 20.00000000 0.04333420 0.00216672 0.30000000 0.00065002 0.00216673 124.72190695 0.27023870 0.00217683 4.61527100 0.01004666 0.00217754 0.10126293 0.00022050 0.00217755 4.61527100 0.01004998 0.00217756 13.84577040 0.03015000 0.00218396 3.89831715 0.00851377 0.00218398 5.19775619 0.01135180 0.00218414 20.58206550 0.04495411 0.00218415 4.59896989 0.01004484 0.00218841 0.50952219 0.00111504 0.00218990 12.00000000 0.02627880 0.00219303 13.89551239 0.03047328 0.00219523 25.00000000 0.05488075 0.00219682 1.19860000 0.00263311 0.00219857 25.11376118 0.05521436 0.00219858 54.88510727 0.12066930 0.00219929 50.80776985 0.11174102 0.00219994 0.10000000 0.00021999 0.00219997 0.10000000 0.00022000 0.00219999 1001.00000000 2.20218999 0.00220000 37.33880741 0.08214538 0.00220100 346.82843925 0.76336939 0.00221002 5.00000000 0.01105010 0.00221041 0.11933548 0.00026378 0.00221110 33.89551239 0.07494637 0.00222000 41.04507413 0.09112006 0.00222090 23.77102804 0.05279308 0.00222211 1.00000000 0.00222211 0.00224990 2.57000000 0.00578224 0.00225000 1008.60685410 2.26936542 0.00225199 2.86703273 0.00645653 0.00225958 20.00000000 0.04519160 0.00227000 500.00000000 1.13500000 0.00227950 4.00000000 0.00911800 0.00227957 2.25012376 0.00512931 0.00229957 6.00000000 0.01379742 0.00229999 1001.00000000 2.30228999 0.00230000 213.46334243 0.49096569 0.00231012 4.60478338 0.01063760 0.00231500 0.10000000 0.00023150 0.00231900 5.00000000 0.01159500 0.00233341 0.10000000 0.00023334 0.00233700 3.00000000 0.00701100 0.00234000 108.00000000 0.25272000 0.00234899 0.81095992 0.00190494 0.00234989 2.00000000 0.00469978 0.00234990 110.37938166 0.25938051 0.00234999 1001.00000000 2.35233999 0.00235000 0.50000000 0.00117500 0.00235001 11.00340494 0.02585811 0.00235300 10.18192512 0.02395807 0.00235369 0.10000000 0.00023537 0.00235558 0.15418807 0.00036320 0.00235640 10.00000000 0.02356400 0.00235644 1.36025003 0.00320535 0.00236199 11.25000000 0.02657239 0.00236220 0.20000000 0.00047244 0.00237000 10.00000000 0.02370000 0.00237100 0.10000000 0.00023710 0.00237199 8.43750000 0.02001367 0.00237298 0.10000000 0.00023730 0.00237299 10.23724351 0.02429288 0.00237300 50.00000000 0.11865000 0.00237345 0.10000000 0.00023735 0.00237450 50.00000000 0.11872500 0.00238000 50.00000000 0.11900000 0.00238293 0.10000000 0.00023829 0.00238888 9.48700507 0.02266332

Price collapsing...Slowly. Volume decreasing...Not a great combination.
This is a good product, good brand but if nobody knows about it then no matter how good it is - nobody will buy it if you don't advertise it. Firing off a series of PR's right now would get VTC back on track in price range and volume.
Here is your key to success:
Marketing = Awareness ~ Awareness = Buying ~ Buying = Volume Volume = Price Appreciation

Hey guys,
We (gamblex team) will be launching a new exchange and gambling site in the following months. Until now we made a very conservative selection of coins to be included. But we want to change that!
Would you be intrested in your coin being added to our portfolio?
Discuss here, or write me a PM: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=498311.0

Have you under-volted them yet? This significantly reduced my temps (5-10 C). Here is a great How-To http://www.cryptobadger.com/2013/10/undervolting-in-linux-via-modified-bios/. I run a single rig with 4x R9280X's running at 1.100, 1.100, 1.081 and 1.075, all running incredibly stable. Also, CGMiner has a lot of really nice "Auto" features that help considerably. I have my "Auto-GPU Engine" set at 500-1040 so that during the day when it's hot in my garage, it throttles down to reduce temps, then at night when it cools off it opens up and increases my hash rate. Temps rarely exceed 78 C with this system. I've also toyed with the idea of setting up two voltages (you can do this in VBE from the How-To above) so that when it's cool, it ramps up voltage and gives more headroom for the GPU clock, but reduces the voltage as the clock is reduced during the hot days. Anyone tried this?

Thanks for the reminder (I'm going to be using Bitty myself for VTC) - I'll add it right away. Thanks Boris! Also, do you mind sharing some info behind the scenes for us? What is cooking in there? What happened to our promo video? It was supposed to go out by now if I'm not mistaken. And another thing, remember those weekly dev updates that we mentioned some time ago, any progress on that? Thanks
