That was pretty vague and actually confirms that an ASIC can be built for Vertcoin.

That was pretty vague and actually confirms that an ASIC can be built for Vertcoin. Yes you can build ASICs for every specific task that can also be done with a CPU and therefore for every N in the table you can build an ASIC. However, due to the increasing memory requirement you only have two choices: 1. Build an optimal ASIC for the current N. Consequence: You have only a very small time window where you can make money with it, afterwards it is useless. 2. Build an ASIC with enough memory to compute scrypt-N for the next couple of N's Consequence: Your ASIC is far from being optimal, the memory is expensive and steals a lot of physical space in your ASIC chip. Furthermore the additional memory is completely useless until the memory requirement increases. The $/hash will suffer greatly and including design cost etc you won't make much money. Nobody can tell how exactly future will be. If tomorrow somebody invents a DDR5 1TB RAM module that costs less than a cent then scrypt-N becomes useless. Fact is, Vertcoin is not scrypt-N, scrypt-N is just the current approach Vertcoin uses to accomplish its primary mission: Keeping ASICs out!

When coin will speak for itself. They will not add it because of user messages.

Any developer of a Scrypt-N coin...that cares about their coin...regardless of when the new "N" is scheduled to occur..will do EVERYTHING in their power to make it so ASIC CAN'T mine them. No manufacturer is going to spend the time developing an ASIC for a Scrypt-N coin because the coin will adapt with developer updates to make it useless. Had to give my 2 cents. Vertcoin FTW. Invest now..the ships sailing folks...destination...moonville.

Boris and dev's, we are looking forward to another weekly development update on blog.vertcoin.org. the last one was made exactly one week ago Hi Deky, finding someone else to do it as I want blog.vertcoin.org to give everyone a way to get updates and info directly from all of us, not just me, so we will get a rotation going on. I'll get someone to do an update soon.

how much time does it take to see Vertcoin in cryptsy?
Cryptsy deposits are notorious for being delayed/slow - if I were you I'd check one of the blockchain explorers and if you can see your transaction has enough confirmations, contact them and ask them to rectify it.
