Now Vertcoin is Lyra2re and fullfills it's promised asic resistance.


How about getting it on one of the big exchanges (BTC-E for expample!). They are living behind the moon thinking FTC is the real thing!

By the way, is there a CPU miner?

i was asking the same. it looks that vertcoin is now GPU only.

actually it's not very bad = no botnet issues


from my early calculations, Vert is most profitable GPU coin right now...
for 750 Ti seems to be ~10 VTC from 1kWh

Mining @ 640kh/s with 270x right now... Anyone using 270x here? Just want to know what would be the peak hashrate of it  

I have MSI R9 270 @ 585 KH/s.

But it is old 14.4 WHQL without any tweaks in miner software.

I'm using mod 14.6.. Maybe I'm doing fine with my speed atm.. Thanks Randywald

I'm trying to get a p2pool setup going using the Windows binaries from James. From what I can see, p2pool is running properly (I see it reporting on the blockchain), but I cannot connect to it with my other mining machine. I'm trying to use my regular vtc wallet address as my username, not the p2pool  address that appeared after install (actually I've tried both addresses).

I  get errors related to 'json stratum auth failed' and i'm not sure why. What am I missing?

Any address should work, try someone else's p2pool node to make sure it's not because of your miner
for example: http://p2pool.crunchpool.com:9171/

since you are around 
It seems the hashrate isn't reported correctly on your p2pool, I tried it and I was getting things like 20kh/s
Does the +0.00something appended at the end of the vtc address still works ?
I tried it, and I wasn't getting any share at all

what's your real hashrate vs reported hashrate?

Start sgminer with the "--no-extranonce" flag. You can edit the batch file to do this.

with this in my bat file:

setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
sgminer.exe  -a lyra2 -o stratum+tcp://pool.verters.com:3333 -u xxx.xxx -p x

also tried:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

sgminer.exe --kernel Lyra2RE -o stratum+tcp://pool.verters.com:4444 -u hjurcic.2 -p xxx

nothing works. When I start my bat file manually from cmd, it says all devices are disabled...
Can anyone help? Everything worked fine until change to Lyra2RE.

Hi djm34, there's a problem with your latest sgminer release. Pools report only half the hashrate of the miner. Just tried the original miner and it works better.

Strange.  Verters hashrate reported same as my hashrate but GMC reported only half.  I'm also using djm34's latest sgminer.

Tried solo but found block rejected so now @ verters.  Has anyone successfully solomined a block?

Had the same problem. Found a configuration on here for a R290 but tried it anyway on my 280x and it worked. Not optimized yet but at least producing some results.
