There's no reasoning with people who are strictly around to troll. It's best to ignore them. If someone is consistently bashing something on this board for the sheer pleasure of it they're getting perma ignored. It's the only way they truly go away.

Sigh.........................................keep telling yourself that. The other scenario is that people who are not blinded by false hope are trying to sincerely help those that might be. Blindly calling someone a troll just because he doesnt share your views is disingenuous. But we already had this conversation bristow...

It takes literally 2 seconds per day for me to follow developments on vert, less time than it takes for me to have a sip of coffee, so the "wasting time in the thread/s  argument also has no merits

Next time take a sip of coffee instead of posting.

This community doesn't need negativity from people who've left it. Everyone can make their choices but bringing it back for no reason on people who doesn't think the same way, is pretty sad and happening too much in CC

I don't know if VTC will survive the competition agains others. But I want it to survive.
Why? Stealth addresses for one and I believe in its mission to stay decentralized.

price almost hit 20 000 sat. People buying VTC!

edit: Bitcoinist  http://bitcoinist.net/market-analysis-correction/

It also seems that Vertcoin is coming back, one of the older coins known for its extreme hostility towards ASICS. From reaching its market bottom of around $0.04, Vertcoin has been makng steady gains over this week.

Volume is also nearing a healthy $10,000 suggesting a return to Vertcoin. Vertcoin still has a ways to go, from its all-time high of $10, and the market price of $1-$2 a couple months back.

The community have to show it want the coin to survive, i mean not wait for the devs to do something. A lot have to be done for this coin to really come back. It can happen.

It could also be due to insiders/speculators trying to get some Vertcoins before the Nov's scheduled release of lyra2.  Let's see.

pardon my ignorance, but what is lyra2?

It a new proof-of-work algorithm, that will replace Scrypt-N. Lyra2 is better than Scrypt in term of ASIC resistant while it is friendly to GPU.

It would be nice if someone from the development team said things were going well.
Without good news, the price will go down.
