@fablkak,

You raise some valid points although this premine was declared in the previous ANN post and was mentioned in this post at the start, but I agree it needs to be updated
on the OP.

I know there has been a lot of giveaways in the past if you just search for iCoin. CaptainHook seems to be one that is responsible for giving away iCoin for rewards so I would suggest
mailing him for ideas on marketing. I will too.

So we will need to see what comes about for the coin going forward!

EDIT: Looks like Captainhook is also the dev for this coin which means he has the premine and that is why he is doing the bounties, I have PM'd him to help with marketing.

We will get the OP page updated ASAP under the mining section.

Please send Captainhook all promotion requests if you have ideas that will require a bounty as
you suggested Gravity, he is the one with the iCoin funds, so far he has delivered on all giveaways, bounties, rewards. Over 500 000 iCoin has been given away so far already.

Captainhook asked me to join as a marketing person after we discussed the coins block rewards and the plans for the coin.

This week we will be entering a new phase for iCoin and more promotions to come that will be used to grow the coin and add more services.

Watch this space.

Hi,

I like the suggestion from the community about clarity. So I would like to do my part. After winning the iCoin logo contest I joined the team as designer. I take care of the marketing material and website, for this I work closely with Viperbass Crypto's are still pretty new for me, but it feels like a step in the future. It inspires me to do my part in bringing crypto's to the public. And my part is design.

This is our team:

captainhooks : He started iCoin and controls the premine and financial side. He is also the developer.
Viperbass : Does the marketing, handles community feedback and talks with future investors.
Cointopic: Designed the logo, website, wallet and marketing material.

Like Viperbass said we don't have anything to say about the premine, this is in control of our dev. I am sure he welcomes feedback so please contact him with ideas. I personally think its very cool that you are thinking with us about the future of iCoin and would like to say thank you for that.

If you have any more questions, please let us know.

You did a great job designing the logo and website. It is slick, clean and very professional.
Viperbass and captainhooks are also really kind and are trying to make the best of this coin.

I do have one question, and the answer might save you, me and everyone else a lot of pain here.

Do you have Captainhooks personal contact details? Real name, email, phone number etc?!?!?! Viperbass and whoever Teamicoin is appear to be trusthworthy, the problem is they could be setup
for a scam just like you. After having reread fablkak post I am a little worried that 1 person controls all the premine and is never posting on these forums.

You have been warned, I have even invested in iCoin, I hope I haven't made a mistake!!!

1 000 000 premined is just sick when you think about the slow coin release. Hope the dev is a wise guy. Not to mention i didn't see that much of givaways. Hope the premine will help promoting the coin somehow though since you seem to have high ambition for it Smiley

They are using their premined coins really good.
I did get a nice reward for making the first icoin faucet.

It's 5 million coin premine, this is the problem we will need to see massive promotions otherwise the risk is far too high! Considering that only 25 million coins will be mined in 4 years.

I want to see evidence of the promotions and giveaways going forward.

5 millions out of 25 millions in the next 4 years wtf, transparency about premined coins use will be needed cause that sounds like the biggest scam ever when you put it like it.

I don't even know if i should keep mining to get slow peanuts at this stage.

I was payed 30 000 iCoin for my services and then additional 50 000 iCoin to pay for other services including the dice, wheel of fortune, marketing etc.

I have mined and also purchased around 13 000 icoin on the exchanges already for more transparency.

So the dev still sitting on a massive 4 500 000 coins at least haha. I really like icoin and all but i can't call this reasonable, not even close.

Come on guys, that's 20% of all coins released in the next 4 years. That's unbelievable  Smiley

Ok this is fucked up!

I am not happy with this situation and will stop investing in this coin now. it's clear only 1 person has control of this coin which is not healthy. cointopic and viperbass I suggest
starting another coin with someone else because it's most likely you are being setup.

If you are doing a 1% premine make sure all coins will be mined out within 20 years, .5% premine for a 40 year coin...

Would you stop making assumptions and jumping to conclusions?
Let's wait for the dev to reply, k?

I received nothing for running my pool (speedminer.org).  My iCoin income is purely based on fees and donations.  At current rates, hardware hosting is costing me much more than I earn, but since I still believe in this coin, therefore I'll keep investing.

Did however receive 500 iCoins from the DEV's to use for my pool promo (for giving a way to miners).  Doesn't seem much however...

Another problem is that the "http://ic.mepool.cc" pool has a much too high % of the net hashrate (currently 37 MH out of 45 MH).  That's not a problem of the iCoin team since they don't control the pools, but rather a not so smart choice of the miners (51% attack risk).  Only the miners themselves can fix this.
Already launched a few promotions to try and attract more miners, but seems to have little or no effect.
Invested a lot of effort and money in the Pool because I really believe in this coin.  We really have rock solid hardware which can handle a significant load, even in terms of GH rates.  So I still invite more miners to join our pool and share the hashrate.  Been making smooth payouts since the day we were launched.  Think other miners can confirm.

Come join our mining pool @ : http://speedminer.org

As a community, we can make this coin work!

Well good luck being sceptic.
People are not waiting for your assumptions.
