hi, i am new here, very new, was introduced to the world of crypto coins by Lord Picolo (curse him) been mining for the past two weeks still learning and Lord Picolo has been very patient and has helped me a lot. i am still very very new and finding the learning curve very steep. but i am looking forward to getting into this wonderful world of crypto coinage The first few weeks of mining can be stressful and frustrating at times, but once you get everything stabilized it's (mostly) smooth sailing.

Best part is when you are confident it's set up as best you think it'll get and then you can just walk away knowing it's earning you money for you (and warming your basement )

Can anyone explain to me how the transaction suppose to be instant? There is no explination on the front page but merely a statement. 3 min block time does not seem instantaneous to me?

I can't unfortunately explain how, but I can back up that every transaction of mine has been instantaneous. And, because of where I live, I'm on a disgraceful 3mbps connection, so it's a pretty instant transaction I'd say.

So there is no need to wait for confirmation and so forth? Anyone can advise whether the coin is secure and does not fork easily as all other crypto require confirmation to ensure security of the coin?

Hi All,
Since the voting has been completed, the iCoin team will be donating 13 000 iCoin towards the charity as a goodwill gesture, even if some of our users voted more then once which can be understandable with the passionate community we have. Like Pandacoin we were really behind the coinpayments vote as this is really important for us, not because of the merchants that already exist on coinpayments but for new merchants that want to accept iCoin.
So even before the final winners are announced we are giving the iCoin regardless if we make it this round or not.
It's really good to see Coinpayments is backed by a honest and legitimate team.

Great news Steven, Bidridg7 has been approaching all the really positive looking exchanges this week and Poloniex was one of them. Thanks for letting us know, we will add it to ANN and Website shortly. https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_icn

Hey Qwery, I have just sent through 1 iCoin as a test, let us know if you don't receive it. Did the faucet eventually work for you? Also visit our facebook.com/geticoin , paste your wallet address there for 25 iCoin. To the rest of the community we will be having a massive facebook promotion in the near future, so remember to follow us. Thanks iCoin Support.

Hmm. The faucet should be working. It would be great if anyone could test it right now. I'm on my work so I cant test it myself.

Odd, I just tested it and it works just fine. Are you sure you're on the correct blockchain? Did you update to 1.4?

The faucet did eventually work, but i still can't time the transaction. With the 1 coin you sent, I was able to time this one, I got the coin at 08:11:48, so about 30 sec after your post. Really great coin, i'm definately going to get some.

Great convo going up above. Interesting to what happened with you info. Regarding Coinpayments, Klondike and Panda are busy pumping the votes now, so a few more votes should secure our place on coinpayments which ends in 90 minutes. https://www.coinpayments.net/vote-thanksFYI - I wrote the coinpayments team about the IOCoin having suspiciously high votes in a small amount of time (their last mention on twitter was Oct '12, very old coin with an un-successful re-launch in '12 as well) and their response was this: "Yep, it seems with every vote the cheating happens more and more. There are going to be a lot of anti-cheating checks before the final results are announced. Thanks, CoinPayments.net" So it looks like we may finish in top 3 or 4 once they verify the voting was accurate and fair. I have also been speaking with merchants quite a bit, and some have reached out to Coinpayments (because thats how they transact crypto) and requested iCoin to be added. We have some new merchants we will be announcing next week. Stay Tuned.

Everyone got knocked down a bit, but at least our faux competitors are gone, leaving the real top 3. Position Coin Name Votes 1st PND PandaCoin 79 2nd KDC KlondikeCoin 64 3rd ICN iCoin 46
