Without any help or paying devs from any of those inferior projects, using our own devs that apparently don't know what they are doing but do a swell job of impersonating devs that do. Apparently! Great job DigiByte devs.  Smiley

Are you saying Litecoin and Gulden are inferior? Why?
We should not celebrate so fast, you never know if we will hardfork like vertcoin did. Other devs will laugh at us if we hardfork.
Look I've been around a bit, they laugh at us anyway, they never needed a good reason to do it.

Understood Sir!
What is inferior about Litecoin and Gulden?

They only have one engine.

Multi Algorithm is all about giving everyone a way to contribute equally.

Have a ASIC?         -> Mine a ASIC Algo (Sha256, Scrypt)
Have a good GPU?  ->Mine a GPU Algo (skein,groestl)
Have a CPU?          -> Mine a CPU Algo (qubit)
*Have DGB coins?   -> "Mine" with Proof of Stake

*In future releases we are looking adding POS and also swapping some of the GPU & CPU Algos with better more accessible ones.

yes it's true all these things are being considered, only mining qubit on your cpu won't get you very far, it's an ASIC today.

Don't fucking deploy Segregated Witness. Problem solved.

It's already causing more issues than it's worth. It's a technical piece of shit.

And my question is whether DGB really even needs it at this time, and I have yet to see any forthright arguments explaining why it is, if it is.

I think it will be good for DGB to get it working, the other coins that have enabled segwit don't have the marketing reach that Jared does, it will be good to create some much needed hype for dgb. I purchased quite a lot under 30 and I expect to see 80-90 on poloniex in short order.

I think you're probably right. And it sounds like the issue has been resolved as well. Smooth sailing ahead.

And you're not alone on your other points either. Wink

It's got a lot of room to run before hitting the 1000:1 ratio. Grin

Make a list of all the coins that have already done this bitcoin code base update and ask them for help. I can donate 5 btc.

1. Gulden
2. Litecoin
3. Groestl

Which other coins have done this and I will add to the list?
None of these coins would run into this issue. They have programmers who know what they are doing.

fixed that for you. maybe you can get your 'microsoft partners' to help you out.

Malcolm (Mani) stop this nonsense.
You keep attacking DGB over and over again. It makes Gulden look weak.

Hello,

Just installed the DigiByte wallet for Windows v4.0.3.0-g354c0f3-DigiSpeed (64-bit), but it doesn't sync. It stays stuck at "No block source available". I manually added nodes (the IPs provided in the 1st page of this thread) but still no success.
It's the first time I download an altcoin wallet that doesn't sync right away. What's going on?

Anyway looks like they have overcome the issue, the reason we want segwit is introduce smart contracts to DigiByte!

Okay. I finally get it. To make DiguSign work as was originally envisioned, right?

Was that ever discussed out in the open here on this thread (other than my harping on the fact that it didn't work as claimed) and I missed it?

Somehow you think I know, all I know is that DigiByte will evolve where it can and push the limits as it does. Along the way things will break and be fixed, perhaps removed and added. Think of DigiByte like the ultimate Hybrid of Blockchain, on amphetamines.

I hadn't noticed. Good to see that it was finally retired until a working version is ready. Like I said back then, better to not have something than to have it half baked. Wink

Hello, please how can I transfer my DGB paper wallet created on website: https://walletgenerator.net/?currency=DigiByte to my digibyte wallet on my PC?

1.   Core wallet
2.   Help
3.   Debugwindow
4.   console
5.   importprivkey "digibyteprivkey" ( "label" ) ( rescan )

That’s my best guess!

tested this recently but with a dirty copy of the new 6.14.1 wallet, the format of step 5. was just

 importprivkey <digibyteprivkey>

The wallet seemed to hang but process was busy and I left it alone, came back a while later and it had been completely successful.

Yep, importing private key can really takes sometime while the wallet thoroughly scanning each transactions in the blockchain.

You can't compare like this

People still trust more on Doge and that's why

But DGB and Doge serve different target communities. Having different prices is not unreasonable
