A note from Jared on Telegram alerts which you can follow here: https://t.me/DGBalerts
Quote
A note to all DigiByte investors. Days like today happen, and they are outside of our control. These cycles have been occurring in crypto markets for the last half-decade. This pullback was forecasted by many.

We are also coming up on Chinese Lunar New Year. Combine that with regulatory uncertainty across Asia and this pullback undoubtedly started there. Market pullbacks are an excellent opportunity for new market participants to get involved.

We have many exciting developments underway now! New wallets, new exchanges, and new platforms and services built on top of DGB. 100's of people are working hard each and every day to make DigiByte better.

Rome was not built in a day and we will continue doing like we have the past four years. Keeping our head down and focused on building real-world DigiByte utility. That is what really matters for long-term sustained growth.

2018 is going to be a great year! Stay tuned for more daily updates and news! Thank you all for continuing to support DigiByte!

Market is collapsing ....pretty scary Huh

Nah.  You get used to it.  With each new rush of crypto investors, there are panic sellers/fomo buyers and people waiting to prey on them.  Most of them learn after a couple of drops and start hodling more or just get out altogether, but we did just have a massive intake of new investors over thanksgiving, so, it's to be expected that they're still learning.

Once you get acclimated to the swings, you realize this is the opportunity to accumulate whatever your favorite coin is at prices long past.  Buy when others sell, sell when others buy.  It's simple, but people still insist on herd mentality and lose tons of money following, which causes them to both buy high and then to sell low, obviously not a great strategy.

The scariest thing about today is that we seem to have already found the floor.  I would have done some cartwheels if we could have gone back in time a few more weeks.  That's the other thing you learn, buying opportunities like this don't last long.  You want your orders in weeks in advance, because if you wait for the mega corrections to happen, you might not have time to get your trades in.

Either you believe in the Digibyte or you don't, and what others believe should not affect that either way.  Personally, I like fast coins, and Digibyte has tech beyond speed that's admirable to me, like 5 algo security.  You have to decide if you think that's valuable and how long you're willing to wait for the market to recognize that value.  And if you have different criteria to measure fundamentals, use those, fundamentals haven't changed since all time highs.  They don't change just because someone else sells.

If you invest in this space, you'll see a lot of swings like this.  No sense getting all worked up every time, giving yourself ulcers.  Cowgirl up or learn to distract yourself or find a less volatile market like bonds to invest in.  Too many newbies buy with the herd and sell with herd on emotion, and experienced hands buy their panic selling and then sell back to them at a markup when they FOMO rebuy a week later trying to get back what they already had.  They might as well just light their money on fire and flush it, get it over with fast.  That's the noob tax, and it's voluntary, so don't pay it.

I believe a fair DGB price is $1. Every peak and valley that doesn't touch a dollar has nothing to do with me and isn't worth noticing.  Set your own price, and relax.  Hope you find your crypto zen, but if not, I've got buy orders in waiting to grab up panic sellers' DGB, so I win either way.

I was not sure before that dgb will hit 1$ this yaer but now i am pretty sure because DGB is getting listed on many new exchanges. More exchanges mean more volume, $1 Price is not far now.

I think that things will look much better in the second half of the year. Many new improvements will be introduced and we only need a stable market to profit.

Where can I learn more about the innovations in the project? I made a mistake and sold my coins early, now I'm looking for an entry point. I understand it is expected good news on DGB?

Won't be surprised if DGB hits 1200 sats as soon as $BTC crosses the 12,500 dollars.
