Would be better if they could manage a soft fork instead of a hard fork Now I just hope that this hard fork will go smooth across different exchanges or merchansts

I got a PM asking about how to solo mine . . . The abridged, super simplified, solo mining HOWTO This assumes you already have your rig built, and OS and miner installed and configured. Solo mining, single rigONLY 3 THINGS TO DO: - set up your wallet config file
- set up your wallet to run as a server
- set up your miner batch file to point to your wallet
Wallet config file key items: everything, but there are less than 20 lines Cut and paste what's posted here into your digibyte.conf file inside the same directory/folder where your wallet is found: rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcuser=yourusername rpcpassword=yourpassword server=1 daemon=1 txindex=1 debug=1 algo=scrypt rpcport=14022 port=12024 addnode=216.250.125.121 addnode=74.208.230.160 addnode=69.164.206.169 addnode=192.99.215.234 addnode=96.126.114.208 addnode=54.204.36.33 addnode=192.99.41.108 addnode=199.83.128.91 addnode=199.83.132.91 Change the rpcuser and rpcpassword to something of your choosing Save it as digibyte.conf Create a shortcut of your DigiByte wallet, right click, click properties append --server to the end of the TARGET line(Example: C:\Users\User\Wallets\DigiByte\digibyte-qt.exe --server) Save it and run your DigiByte Wallet as a server using that newly created shortcut. One other thing, don't forget to modify the algo line with the algorithm you're using. algo=scrypt algo=sha256d algo=groestl algo=qubit algo=skein Setup your bat/script startup file by SIMPLY CHANGING 3 THINGS: your -o -u and -p switches (everything else stays the same) -o 127.0.0.1:14022 -u the user name that you gave to rpcuser in your digibyte.conf file -p the password that you gave to rpcpassword in your digibyte.conf file Save and run. You're now mining solo. Multiple Rig SetupsAll the same as above, except you need to: Change the 127.0.0.1 in the rpcallowip line in your digibyte.conf file to the IP of your server wallet machine or of your subnet, (for example to 192.168.0.* or 192.168.1.* which are the most common - you could go with 192.168.*.* when in doubt) If necessary, create any necessary firewall exceptions on your server wallet machine and/or router. Change the -o switch in your bat/script startup file to the IP of your server wallet machine, followed by a colon, and the rpcport number used (for example 192.168.0.30:17772 ) And you're off and running, now solo mining using various miners together. It's easy as 1-2-3. Good luck, and good mining!addnode=74.208.230.160 addnode=69.164.206.169 addnode=192.99.215.234 addnode=96.126.114.208 addnode=54.204.36.33 addnode=192.99.41.108 addnode=199.83.128.91 addnode=199.83.132.91 What are these IP address means? Can I mine using this setup for S9?

Listing on Indian exchange is a plus for DGB but the only concern is liquidity which is too low at the moment,we need many more exchanges to adopt it locally.

It looks very interesting, though there are lots of similar products with the same goal. However, i liked the detailed description and the complete roadmap.

No other "similar product" is as resilient as DGB.

When is the hardfork date of DGB?
The Algo swap (Core v7.1.0) was planned for springtime 2018 but it could come a little more later i think. However for personal mining consideration i'd like it to come after summer, and not before ! In fact, also a core wallet 6.15 was originally planned for December 2017 but i presume that the pump and their others projects (DGB Foundation, new exchanges listing, soft improvements, etc) have delayed this release. Now it's about to be released as 6.16 as you can see on tweeter. So i guess we'll have to wait a bit more for the hard fork.

well done to digibyte for not paying the $100,000 fee to be listed on binance. There should be more coins rejecting this ridiculous fee.

From Telegram: A note from Jared on DGB getting listed on Binance exchange that so many people are asking for: "Binance, in my opinion, is the worst exchange in the crypto world. I am glad if DGB never gets listed there. They have added way too many scammy pump & dump ICOs and I doubt they will be around 2 years from now. I will not push or support DGB being listed there. Plus they wanted a $100,000 ludicrous bribe. Do you know how effective that money would be if we took that money and applied it to development?"

Binance is pretty solid, just Chinese af not really fair to say this exchange is full of scammy icos when DGB is listed on plenty of less reputable markets (so is every other coin lol). Yeah 100k is alot of money but if all of DGBs competitors are there (DASH.BTC.LTC) then it would make sense to cut that check. Also liquidity is EXTREMELY important and Binance has alot of that.

Binance is the biggest exchange right now. I not understand or see this will change just like that. Pump and dump takes please not only on binance so you know that.

It goes against the idea of decentralisation, having to pay the most popular exchange at the moment to be listed. Surely Binance makes enough money as it is. Its not right is it. The point of crypto currency is to that there is an alternative to this type of behaviour. So don't pay.

The problem here is that Jared is right, Binance chose to list tons of Scam Ethereum ICOs before many solid projects that are in development for many years now.
Binance cares about profit, not the community or development of the coin. The majority of the crypto space unfortunately is still made of stupid kids who want to make a quick buck following youtube and twitter tips.
