There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Open letter of thanks to the community,

I am very impressed with the entire community that has, and continues to rise up around DigiBytes.

There are a lot of people who don't want this to succeed - that is plain to see considering the DDoS and other attacks against the pools and sites who support the coin.

That should make us work that much harder.

Pickaxe can be an asshole, but he runs a good pool Smiley
Our investigations at dgb.Get-By.com also show absolutely no indication that he, or his pool, has been involved in any of the ongoing attacks.

That honor rests with xtrapool.

More importantly, he also brought up a very good point concerning a 51% attack on the blockchain.

If you are mining @ a very large pool please consider switching to one of the many smaller pools that the community is providing.  You can find a list in the OP post on the first page of this thread.  This is very important for the trust and health of DigiBytes as a currency.

I happen to like:
dgb.Get-By.com Smiley

But I am biased, it is my pool  Grin

That said, we are a trustworthy pool and haven't had a single intrusion that didn't involve a user who had been insecure with their login details.
And even then, we have reimbursed nearly 100,000 DGB to users out of our own pockets to cover their losses.
Those users can particularly thank the DigiByte devs for their support of the pool.

So!
Come join us at dgb.Get-By.com, or get involved at one of the other smaller pools in the community and let's nip this 51% stuff before it becomes a problem.  It doesn't take much for the wider market to lose faith so early in our existence, it would be terrible shame to let happen.

In addition, please vote at the various threads, subreddits, etc.
Re-Tweet the developers tweets, show DigiBytes some love on Facebook.
It is this social interaction and participation that gives a crypto-currency value.
If WE value the coin, then others will as well.

Kindest Regards,
Samantha.

More merchants are accepting DGB every day!

One of our business partners (Intraweb Studio) has also started accepting DigiByte after we introduced them to your goals!

Please be kind, spread the word! More services, more transactions, more stable coin. Also, please send them their bounty on the wallet address that has been posted on contact page.

http://intrawebstudio.com/contact/

We really believe this coin has much potential in digital services.

P.S. We also changed accepted here logo on http://minigrafik.com

Accounts are automatically disabled if there are failed login attempts, failed pin codes or if they are accessed by an unauthorized person. We did this for your and our safety.

Glad to hear that you were quickly able to unlock your account!
Thanks for mining with us!
