you need to announce a 1M bounty to be added to cryptsy. I wonder how long it would take then...
cryptsy will only make the price go lower than it is. Actually not correct at all. The largest crypto investors use Cryptsy. This attitude that Cryptsy is bad is dangerous to your coin. The more people read that being said in a thread over and over the less value your coin will have. If your goal is to make the price go up AND down over and over on it's way up LONG TERM --- instead of just down -- you actually have to be listed on a more liquid exchange. BTER - Cryptsy... MCxnow... etc. Not easy to get on. Coinmarket.io is pretty great for trading speed but now it's known for having coins that have only gone down for 10 days now. And rapidcoin that they listed 1 day after the coin opened basically got me and many others scammed when the Dev ran on day 2. Their habit of listing anything and everything and doing it a day after coin launch pegs them as risky. But they are pretty awesome for trading speed ... I really like their site Just trying to help. But you can't exactly force or beg Crytpsy to list you. You have to get the momentum, hype, and volume to get listed. Same with all the big exchanges. In reality it's like the chicken and the egg. I think if the coin has the hype, sales, and is unique is some great way it will get listed. That is what is comes down to. Digi get all hype necessary to get listed but fall for not implementing anything new, we hope that the developers now have some time to do it and get back on wich realy matters to hype his coin... some factors are missing as i said, something intelligent or new not necessary propaganda.

If you implement automatic wallet update can you promise to never turn evil? at least who whoever does the programming for the update? because I would hate to wake up one day and find out the latest implemented update had xxx problem because [insert name] updated the wallet with a bug/worm which allowed him to do this or that
We will NOT be implementing an auto update feature for this very reason. Don't get me wrong, it is a great implementation that will solve the wallet update problem for the average user who is not tech-savy. I think you can implement an update system which requires the user to input their password prior to update? Maybe the details for each update will pop-up prior to clicking next to actually go through with update? This can help to ensure users put a passcode on their wallet as well! Also, for the new update, wouldn't it be easier to use a .exe file ? Im no tech expert but I seen some wallets only have the .exe file that configures everything for the user and ensure the .conf file is present in the roaming folder to avoid sync issues.

This is a very good idea. A password input might be the way to go. We will not be adding it on this update though. We decided that since we are "hard" forking the DigiByte block chain we will only make a few changes to the existing client to take care of the Multi-Pool problem and block reward. We do not want to risk adding several untested features right away on top of a hardfork. We would like more time to test features like auto update etc before releasing them. We can add most other features later on without requiring a hard fork.

I'm halting all of my trades and pulling all of my funds from Crypsty until Digibyte is added. I encourage everyone else to do the same. With enough users - we will make an impact and prove that Digibyte is worth adding. I better trade elsewhere as I am all in on Digibyte now.

Thank you for your support! Why support Digi through this mean? It hurts no one but ourselves? I think we need to give a donation to cryptsy as they would need DGB to start the bankroll? aka a bribe. Just like every other coin that get listed super quickly....

well i appreciate you having some balls and replying to me (even if your name might mean your a girl lol) in all honesty i would have probably been nicer had i thought you would actually take the time to reply back Ahahaa Look around this forum section is full of shadowy anon cowards that pull dumb stunts and hide and ignore etc - If this is not your first coin you need to be honest and up front about what other coins and forum account you have used. - If you use a pre-mine it has to be reasonably small and it should have some sort of ledger etc. - If you make a coin it should offer something new.. it does not need to me a risky experimental change i could think of endless things off the top of my head with no effort what so ever.. so having a clone is bad and there is no excuse for it. further more your road map of goals mentions nothing useful.. such as improving the coin itself.. and no the other ones are not "good enough". copying something and saying what i copied is good enough is a pretty weak reason to do it lol Want some ideas for coin improvements ? how about working on the Windows QT etc ? why not add auto-updating or at least notifications ? Should i go on ? i could for days on end.. quite simply its crystal clear no one is looking at improving anything.. it's a copy and paste job.. like 90% of them all. And your a "professional" who came along and seen this coin spamming going on and figured you could do better ? although i am not sure i buy it.. you may be just a front pitch man/women as many other coins have.. or the coin was paid for and cloned by request etc Although i give ya an edge on most of these scam coins at least your still trying to move forward since release day and ya your changes sound reasonable. At least it *looks like your trying to make a currency and not just some half ass attempt at a scammy joke ponzi scheme to pump and dump. So your handling things pretty good and your coin does not look that bad and i don't have too much to bitch about lol If you being honest.. if you are i want to make sure i support people *trying I have 8500 coins from mining for 24 hrs and i am just going to leave them in my wallet and i don't know if i will try mining again either for me i am finding a ton of coins including this one is making me the same amount of money :/ Rather than wishing "you get hit by a bus" i will say "good luck with your coin"
Thank you for the cool-headed response ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) As far as I know, this is the lead Dev's (Forum Name: BitcoinTate) only coin. He has said as much, and I certainly don't remember ever seeing his name on the Dev list of another. That said, there definitely are a lot of anonymous people on this forum; and of coarse some have multiple accounts. After our conversations, I think I know enough about the lead Dev I could track the poor guy down if I wanted to, lol. Not that it would be necessary, as I believe he intends to release his LinkedIn profile quite soon. If you wanted to talk to him in person, you could always go to the Crypto Conference in April, as he intends to speak there as well on behalf of DigiByte. Purely out of curiosity, how much pre-mine would you consider too much? DigiByte included a 0.5% pre-mine (much less than some of the 2%+ coins) of which half has been publicly disbursed with a ledger ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) It isn't ideal, but I think it was reasonably well done. There is always room for improvement of coarse ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Concerning development and updates, don't forget that the coin is still a toddler, lol. In just handful of weeks, the Dev team has already added QR code support directly into the wallet, developed a smoothly operating Android wallet on GooglePlay, further improved the website, launched a fledgling forum, and will be improving the difficulty re-target in the next week. In my talks with them, there are certainly a host of other things they intend to improve - alas, time is limited. I am not a front-woman, however, I suppose in a way I could be considered one. I have been mining and running a DigiByte pool since before the launch of the coin. I have enjoyed the community and certainly have a vested interest, as all miners do, in the coin doing well. Not a shill account or anything though ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I just genuinely enjoy the company of the people involved in developing, promoting, mining, and using this coin.

whats happened to the Digibute forum of late? It's a real spam-fest. If you need more moderators etc to clean it up either myself or I'm sure many others would gladly volunteer but it's pretty unreadable at the moment :/

We just noticed this ourselves. We do not have mod access there either. We need to get on top of this, it is bad for the coins image.

We just noticed this ourselves. We do not have mod access there either. We need to get on top of this, it is bad for the coins image. I believe you do. I gave your account Global mod privilegies. Please contact me on PM or on DigiByteTalk and I will give you all access you need. I opened forum because people were asking for it, and you had full hands with work around Android (if I remember correctly) - just my little help to community. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to propely watch and moderate forum. @iikun If you can, it would be great for DGb to help moderate the forum. Contact me for privilegies EDIT: See this thread for mod/admin talk - http://digibytetalk.com/digibyte-general-discussion/i-would-like-to-apply-for-a-forum-moderator-position/

I'm sick of pools going down, anyone looking to to join a Digibyte P2Pool then try here, avoids the hassle and payouts are every block. http://p2p.mining-man.com:9022/static/
