Just realized I'm holding approximately 1% of the total digibyte coins. This is the time to secure a nice position with very little money and possibly to become a future whale. It's not all bad that the price is very low at some point if it's not affecting the team's morale.

The whole crypto industry reminds me of when the Internet just started in 1994. Parking revenue was non existent and a few investors took the risk on the power of domain names. Fees were expensive and now you look at the commercial value of them and the rest is history. Pretty interesting time period we are in. YC If you know anyone who is still skeptical about DigiByte & digital currencies remind them what Yahoo looked like in 1994:

I am looking forward to hearing from the team if this release is scheduled for today as well. YC Our goal is to have the multi-algo update released by this coming weekend. Thank you everyone for the support & lets keep these awesome discussions going within the community. There are a lot of very good ideas coming from some bright & talented people. Thanks you!
@Digibyte
Are you still on track to realize this goal? I'm looking forward to getting mining DGB again.

Besides Ethereum, Mastercoin & Ripple we were the only alt coin represented there.
Way to go! The thing that surprised us the most was not "if" digital currencies would go main stream, but "when," "how" and "who" would be the first ones to do it.
No doubt about it. Digital currencies ARE a reality - there's no putting the genie back in the bottle. As you said, it's a question of when, and more than how, I would say who, and that "who" will probably determine how and when. Sounds like a great experience and eye opener. Finance is changing & we are proud to stand along side all of you as we are all pioneering the future of money! DigiByte to the moon! The first thing money ever seeks is its own self-preservation. Oh yeah, finance is changing alright, and the pace of that change is going to get ever faster. Seize the opportunity! To the moon! Great job! ---------------------------------o--------------------------------- Oh, and I just love this analogy. Spot on! (And if you think the internet evolved fast, get ready for what's coming, and don't dare blink! ) If you know anyone who is still skeptical about DigiByte & digital currencies remind them what Yahoo looked like in 1994:

Heads up again with the ASIC "cancer". If MYR is any indication, or better said, if the price of MYR is any indication, the MYR "formula" might not be the most advisable. I'm still thinking that adjusted rewards to handicap the playing field would at least be one key part in greatly improving upon their 5 algo approach. Something I just posted over there saying basically the same thing. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483515.msg8167288#msg8167288Who will get the implementation correct, and who will be first to do it?

Good feedback. The community is patiently waiting to see what Jared and team will release. I don't believe it will ever be perfect -- needs to constantly evolve. Be nice to get things tested and released, so we can continue to drive in more folks for the coin and accomplish the main vision. YC Heads up again with the ASIC "cancer". Aren't the rewards supposed to be evenly distributed between the 5 algos? Hence ASICs would only effect Scrypt and SHA256 or 2/5 of the block rewards?

I thought HR suggested a more distributed payout based on each algo. Not sure which way Jared and team are going yet. YC Heads up again with the ASIC "cancer". That's right, basically because the "adjusted difficulties" don't even come close to getting the job done, as I see it anyway. Here's that post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.msg7954541#msg7954541 (The only thing that wasn't adapted to DGB was the total block reward figures, but the rough percentage breakdowns between algo rewards would basically be the same.) Here's something else - completely unrelated - that's perhaps easier on the eyes, takes much less time to digest, and is probably much more fun . . . as I was having a little fun with it myself.

HR, Pretty neat chart. What I would be curious is to see the life of cryptos that launch compared to DGB's life and price stability. DOGE still has lots of volume, but the price has been trending down where DGB is pretty consistent. We all want price to go up, but it's comfortable to know where we are. YC I thought HR suggested a more distributed payout based on each algo. Not sure which way Jared and team are going yet.

I would like to use the recent stability of the price to say its a great feature.. and even pre-digishield, it had a range..but when blocks get stuck, for hours on occasion.. that stability is not really the intended meaning , it's more of a 'situation' Don't get me wrong, im not bashing.. just being realistic. After multi-algo is released, it will be interesting to see how the 1st 3 months play out. I happen to be optimistic, it may be out of my bias, as I have DGB, so I need to take that into account aswell.
