Coolermasters PSU in the same wattage as the Corsair are much cheaper here.
They don't have have a better Brand name than Corsair here, but from tests I see that Coolermasters are not bad in making good PSU for a decent price.
I myself have a bunch of Coolermasters V850.
I bought them before my november Jupiters arrived and suddenly KnC announced on their website that the specs have been changed.
I am using 3 V850 to power 2 november Jupiters.
I am now replacing them with 1200w PSU, because I am already moving my Jupiters to a datacenter in Zoetermeer.
I am going to use the V850 to power the Antminers.

3x CX600M would provide more juice per miner Wink

2 Coolermaster V850 to power 3 Antminers OC.
Is that a good idea, or not enough juices?

Corsair and Coolermaster don't make PSUs Wink
They just resell them under their own brand.

CoolesrMaster V series is Seasonic and Corsair AX is Seasonic too, so they are the same PSU with different branding Wink

I am not an expert in PSU and don't really know who made it for those brands.
I only know from reviews that Coolermasters PSU are not bad for a cheap prices.
I don't like to use really cheap PSU, like the ones BFL ships with their singles.
I throw them away after reading horrible stories with BFL PSU.
The BFL singles are now mining the electricity cost for the rest of the miners.

Antminers still stuck in Mumbai Cry

This has been taking much longer then a normal repair. The plane also has high prio packages and ups has support planes standing by 24hours a day.

BITMAIN offcourse is no where to be seen, what else is new...... (sorry to say but o so true)

I would be supprised if its a cover story and customs has confiscated the shipments of BITMAIN in the plane.

India is a bitcoin banning country. We will here in a couple of days i guess. But there goes the proffit of the mines. Hashfast started to ship and ramping up. Cointerra also shipped some units friday ( friend got a tracking ) and will also bee ramping up next week.

Next diff will be of galactic proportions.

You can blame me for the delay, every shipping company on the face of the planet hates me. It took UPS 4 days to deliver my saturn, I live 250 km north of Stockholm Huh Fedex took almost 2 weeks to deliver a few singles. I don't even get mad anymore!

DHL did get me my minis the day after they were sent from China however, so maybe they have a secret crush for me and the others are just jealous.

overclocked to 400 - each ant takes 420 watts at the wall.

I was looking for a PSU I could get my hands on ASAP in the UK which would power 2 Antminers and didn't want to pay the inflated prices on overclockers.

Spent hours on the phone to different companies trying to source something. I wanted 2 x PSUs to power 4 Antminers and wanted it NOW. Never realised these things are as rare as UnicronHasher poo's

I finally sourced 2 x Novatech PowerStation Gold Series 1000W PSUs strait from Novatech for £139 with free next day delivery. Sorry guys got the last 2 though!

I have to say something I have learnt very quickly about PSUs for Ants is that don't believe what they say about how many PCI-E plugs they have.

For example, I did have 1 Corsair CX600 powering a single Ant. But even though the specs stated 2 x PCI-E which it did have, it was 1 cable which splits off to 2 PCI-E plugs... so effectively I have 400w being pulled down a single cable which made it pretty hot I and didn't want that running 24/7

This is the same for most other PSUs I have come across. So a PSU with 4 x PCI-E would actually be 2 cables splitting off to 2 PCI-E plugs on each.

So, unless you aren't worried about pulling the full juice down a single cable which in my mind is stupid, it's not worth the risk. For a single Ant I would look for 4 x PCI-E and for 2 Ants off a single PSU I would look for 8 x PCI-E

Hope this helps somebody out  Wink

I'm not sure why people think that ATX power supplies are the way to go for device that only requires a 12v feed.  There are much (MUCH) better/cheaper/more efficient options.

the rcgroups guys do (they use these beasts to supercharge LiPo batteries)

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1170784#post14001273

there's lots of other threads on there for different server PSU's, Dell, Compaq/HP, Cisco etc.  TONS of bargains on ebay and absolutely perfect for these antminers (and even for GPUs if you're prepared to buy some PCI-e extension cables to sacrifice)

Thank you!

in the meantime, would you care to explain why you're buying these when you are selling essentially the same thing and 1.2Th machines as of 'the 15th'

These are not out till march !

Update 2: Phone UPS UK, Since package is not in the UK they can't make an investigation. However they said that the packages are still in india and could be up to 7 working days for delivery!

Bitmain you need to chase UPS agent/broker for an update
