I think the enforcement of payments should not be an exact date but rather we say for example it will be turned on within a month so every pool that has not updated or is currently cheating on masternode payments would get punished... So there would be incentive to update asap to the latest and stop cheating on payments..
I also think enforcement should be ninja launched we cant advise adversaries as they may put more hash into RC4 pools. Edit: For now lets just keep promoting voluntary compliance as that is the best way to go and we have achieved very good results in the past. After they update, pools that are not paying 20% should be advised that their blocks will be rejected if they dont activate the 20%, but that should be a second step. I understand your concern and agree with your basic thought process, but I think everything needs to be done in as clear and transparent way as possible. I might could agree with a: "Enforcement will go live on October 15, plus or minus 72 hours in order to prevent bad actors from compromising the network." Just my opinion though.

I shot off an email to support@ltc1btc.com thanking them for being prompt on upgrading to RC5 but also informing them that when enforcement is on, those blocks being paid at 10% will be orphaned. I'm sure they are well aware of the situation and will upgrade moments before enforcement. Regardless, I wanted to give them another friendly heads up.

Done but doubt one random internet user (and obvious darkcoin supporter's) email is going to make much difference Yeah, it is in our plans, this is going to require a more formal approach, imagine the emails they get from many altcoins, some that are not of the same quality as ours, but how can they know? I think direct contact and maybe a conference call or a meeting will be required at minimum.

Individual emails show interest, even if there is an inherit bias.

OPEN SOURCE PRESS RELEASE FUND RAISERGuys I just went ahead and purchased a formal press release from www.prweb.com. This is ready to be used, I really want to see how this performs since the last one we were only sending it to our own mailing list so far, I am hoping for a much larger impact. This is going to be our open source release maybe the most important one to date. Please check the link below so you can see what we are getting, I selected their most complete option which is the financial package that goes everywhere, including financial related sites. This is a news service meaning sites still have to pick it up, but it can have a much larger impact and I think the open source press release deserves this kind of exposure. http://service.prweb.com/pricing/compare-packages/ This had a cost of 499USD currently about 147DRK, I am hoping to recover my investment through community contributions, I decided to go ahead and buy it because if I waited to get the 500USD before sending it it may be too late or had a long debate before achieving something concrete, I believe actions speak louder than words. I would like for tungfa to organize the fund raiser it is just more transparent if I don't collect them myself and I would only get the funds from tungfa once the press release for open source goes out as expected. Thank you. Minotaur `OPEN SOURCE PRESS RELEASE FUND RAISER’As Minotaur mentioned we are looking for 147 DRK to pay off the PR Distribution he signed up at www.prweb.comFull package http://service.prweb.com/pricing/compare-packages/ This is gonna be a great push for DRK ! With our own PR distribution (which we are doing anyway) we will always stay in certain boundaries, these kind of companies can promote much further outside our Crypto Box. They have the contacts to send this to Finance, Investments, Banks, Startups, Tech Publications,….>> This is a great move and please support ! Any size coin donation is accepted ! I will keep you posted how the coin count goes forward. Please donate Lets get this rolling ….> Tx XizXvQKMTj9M9gCqQUSFU5m81zeatCSnMjBUMP BUMP

Response from them: "From: julien (Support staff) Hi xxxxxxxxx, Thank you for providing us with more info on Darkcoin. You are correct in that you are not the first to suggest adding this to our list of accepted crypto. In fact it has probably been the most requested in the past few months. I can tell you that it is on the list of possible integrations that our Dev team is considering. I have no doubt that with continued support from the community and data that this is indeed a healthy coin, it will eventually be added. Thanks for your support! -Julien"

Especially when the head honcho takes part From: julien (Support staff) Hi XXXXXXXX, We have considered adding Darkcoin and will continue to do so moving forward. If the community is strong and we deem the overall coin value is worth the integration then we will absolutely add that to our list of crypto. Being that we have received quite a few request for Darkcoin, it will most likely be bumped up the list for our Dev team. Thanks for reaching out to us! -Julien

Guys, a stupid question. Please do not laugh. Can I have 2 drk wallets installed on the same machine? I would like to set up 2 masternodes - setting up 2 different VPS with 2 IP addresses makes sense but I would like to stick to the same machine/user for my local wallets, thanks!

Yes using the datadir argument in your shortcut. You can also specify the appropriate conf file to load using the conf argument in your shortcut. I actually haven't setup the datadir argument myself since I don't keep the wallet.dat files hot. I just dump in the appropriate masternode wallet and then load the appropriate conf file to initiate the node with key pair and masternode=1 setting, then starting it. After that, it's closed down and the wallet is removed from the computer.
