wtf?! I missed all the fun! Shouldn't have put him/her on ignore.... oh well must refrain myself next time!

Calm down Perry Mason. Hmmm I didn't know there were laws against quoting someone (only known by his pseudonym) on a public forum. Roll Eyes

Maybe we should give him/her some time to let the wise words above sink in and in the meantime get back to DRK  Grin

Did anyone read this about banks being robbed of anywhere between $300m to $900m via trojans, and the banks have kept quiet about it?!!

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/15/world/bank-hackers-steal-millions-via-malware.html?smid=tw-share&_r=0

A cyber robbery at a bitcoin exchange makes bitcoin a failed project, and something people should avoid.

A cyber robbery involving banks, and its business as usual.

Well a robbery involving banks is very common, in fact is pretty much what they do but the species has been conditioned for many years to think otherwise...

Thanks very much for the warm response, if there is anything I can do in terms of marketing and promotion for the Darkcoin community I will. Yes it would be great to get that interview. Thanks again!

Good Lord, if you are short on Bitcoin, time to cancel it and go Long!!!  Grin Edit:  I hope I don't have to justify that this is directly related to Darkcoin Smiley

http://www.theguardian.com/business/live/2015/feb/16/greek-bailout-eurozone-ministers-hold-crunch-talks-live-updates
This is what we should be talking about, not the SDC travelling freakshow.

You are right, it was really entertaining, but now that there is a serisous subject we have to switch.

Yup....this is going to start a chain reaction that will have some very serious consequences.

Well, I have to admit Greece has a great spokesman there, but if the basics of life down at the lowest levels aren't changed, nothing will change.  Anyway, This is an interesting, very optimistic, article on entrepreneurship in Greece from last summer: http://www.forbes.com/sites/alisoncoleman/2014/07/25/hardly-a-tragedy-as-greek-entrepreneurship-begins-to-flourish/

However, if only 10% of the endeavors are of the type with growth potential, is that enough to have an optimistic view?  It seems too pitiful an effort IMO.  Instead of nationalizing the ports and other big industries (such as they are), the Greek government should get rid of any and all red tape to starting a business, any business, VERY minimal taxes, and let the people do their thing, because they will once the restraints are lifted.  They'll try things, fail, try again, fail sometimes, try again succeed!  The people will figure it out, if the Government would just stop interfering!

But that ain't gonna happen...

Crypto currency may help, but the government will still put up a thousand walls to jump over and ways to confiscate property to keep itself alive when it seriously needs to die.

Total Masternodes: 2091 = 2091 actives + 0 inactives

So it seems after the price rise, no masternodes were sold and if they were, they were replaced by other buyers immediately.

People are in this for the long run  Cool

Nasty story from CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) today. Are the implications for DRK (and everything else) as dire as they sound?

good read.

these businesses should make their software open source. that way the world can check what the hardware relies upon.

good or bad for drk?

I'd say mostly good. If you can't trust trusted brands, then that gives an opening to more radical sounding projects that promote privacy above all else.
