v0.11.1.25 Qt-wallet has a small bug on sending non-IX txes to 2+ recipients, I guess that's what you just hit.  Roll Eyes
It's already fixed in source and will be included in v0.11.2.x release. Until then please avoid sending non-IX txes to multiple recipients via Qt-wallet.

Thanks.  Smiley

Thank you! I'll keep that in mind until I'm using a newer release.

Hahaha Bitcoiners are getting riled up over toknormal's graphic and this tweet:

https://twitter.com/TaoOfSatoshi/status/572520702521303040?s=09

RT, and join the conversation! This could really sting them!

I guess it must "scare city" for them.
Some really interesting responses so far...We need to make that tweet go viral! Will definitely raise some eyebrows...

Hello Guys,

We have been needing a professional animated explanatory video about Darkcoin for a while. So I went ahead and made the commitment for a 90 seconds animated video with a company called www.myevideo.com. I have used their services in the past and they are great. I was able to get 600 USD discount on the regular package as a returning customer, so we are getting 3100.00 USD value for 2500.00 USD, as you can see on the attached pricing table.

I am really hoping we can crowd-source this from the community as I already made the commitment. Here is their youtube channel for examples of their work: https://www.youtube.com/user/MyeVideoChannel

They will take care of: 1) Script 2) Voice Over 3) Story Board 4) Illustrations 5) Animations and Sound Effects.

This in an invaluable opportunity to create a video that can go viral and that we can proudly feature on www.darkcoin.io, I will be working with Fernando on this, we will meet regularly with the production team to give them information and answer their questions. They are experts doing this so there is already a process in place. The first thing we need to do is respond a questionnaire that will help the production company get an idea of what we need. This is where everyone in the community can give their input and help. If you are interested in contributing fill the following questionnaire and send your answers to me and Fernando to daniel@darkcoin.io or fernando@darkcoin.io, please submit your answers by Wednesday, as we need to go through the community input and consolidate to then send it to the video production company. These are the questions we need to answer:

UNDERSTANDING YOUR BUSINESS MODEL

1. What is the name of your product/service?

2. What are the primary features and benefits of your product? (about 100 words)

3. Who is the audience of this animation?

4. What are the most important problems (related to your product) that your audience members are facing?

5. Please describe the available solutions that your audience members are currently using. (about 100 words)

6. How does your business solve these problems?

7. Are you experiencing that your customers misunderstand your business? If so, how?

8. What are the most important reasons to choose your company over the competition?

9. Why are you creating this video, and what do you hope to accomplish?

10. What call to action do you want to end on?

11. Is there any reference video on the Internet that you prefer? (Please copy the links here(

12. What type of video do you want?

a) A straightforward, professional description of who we are and what our business does.
b) An informal, conversational and casual presentation, as if you’re talking to a friend.
c) A story telling presentation, as if telling your story from one person’s point of view. For example, “Meet Joe. He needs help finding his next apartment…”
d) A funny or quirky presentation.
e) Something different from these ideas? If so please explain.

13. Do you have a slogan that you want emphasized in the script?

We are counting on the brilliant minds in the community to give their input so please help, even if you just answer the questions you like.  Enough talk about videos is time for action!

This is the  DCT thread where updates will be posted and you can comment ask questions etc: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoin-animated-video.2777/page-2#post-37211

This is awesome, thanks for being a moving force on this. I couldn't be happier about yourself and fernando making the big calls on this.

143 BTC on Cryptsy @ 0.012222 = 11,700 DRK

http://dc-charts.com/depth_drk.php?ex=2&cu=0&sw=1&tz=5&dl=2&js=1&sc=0&ar=0&re=0

244.44 BTC on BFX @ 0.012222 = 20,000 DRK

http://dc-charts.com/depth_drk.php?ex=9&cu=0&sw=2&tz=5&ar=0&dl=2&js=1&sc=0&ba=2&re=1

The dollars on BFX I'm presently using to trade BTCUSD with, so this wall is now an invisible one in that I will support the price still at $3 if needs be, but I don't think that an actual wall is needed there atm.

Who ever is running the PR...just a suggestion but I feel like their should be much more heavier PR campaigns and more efforts geared towards http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/ .......The dark markets are eying Darkcoin after all this BTC and ROSS drama. Now, its time to take action. Explain how its been stable (which is a huge selling point for vendors who get crushed buy volatility) How easy it is to anonymize, with much smaller fees then the Darknet alternatives like helix and many others....Right now DARK has the tools that these markets, vendors and merchants need....its time to show them the light, and get them into the dark Wink

very good thinking
tx
BUT
maintaining Blogs and Chat Rooms should really be a Community Effort !!!
it is not about 1 person (the PR guy) being on  there and posting
it is about the community engaging , commenting, discusting points, helping other to understand and solve problems.
Reddit (Dark or not) is exactly the same as BCT
so I would appriciate if we can all make that "PR" effort !!

The same 'consumability' issue exists for Darkcoin of course.

I think, in the context of monetary properties, the term "unconsumability" refers to the coin's lack of domestic or industrial utility and consequent tendency to go out of circulation.

For example, using pencil sharpeners as monetary tokens would cary a certain percentage overhead due to a continuous loss to utility (to most people, pencil sharpners are of no use other as a monetary token, but 1 in 10 might value its utility more highly and therefore take it out of circulation, or "consuming" it).

That's exactly what happened in my XCP example. Evidently some people valued the utility of Counterparty more highly than Bitcoin, and therefore took 2130 Bitcoins out of circulation. They were 'hard' consumed, or removed from circulation permanently. As you well know, Darkcoin has another problem in that the coin has a utility as a security token for operating a masternode.  This extra utility leads to 'soft' consumption where the coins stay parked in 1000 tx vin increments on the blockchain. So my 2 cents would be to drop the 'unconsumability' comparison as there's nothing to stop people from deleting wallets or sending coins to dead addresses.

Let's make it wider, I would say not "DarkNetMarkets" but Bitcoin-Mixer Users  Wink

exactly
check on the DarNet and get engaged
that is where the pro BTC mixer questions are asked, market usage discusted , DRK making some leeway
....
but none of the community is there !
I am trying .... but it is just me and 1-2 other people !!

so please
get engaged
"can the PR guy..." .... come on guys ....
we are all DRK PR people
we are all dreaming of DRK hitting 100 US$
we all can engage, promote , encourage, explain ,....
please help me out !!! there is more to do than just post on BCT !
(eh , get the hint)

Hey people.
Setting up my masternode however on starting MN in wallet I'm getting

"not capable masternode: Could not connect to <ipaddyofmvps>"

Checked settings and looks ok - defo right IP addy  VPS is up and running and redone darkcoin conf setup on both vps and local pc.

Is this more likely to be a payment issue? Any ideas before I start again?

You make some interesting points.

I hadn't thought of it that way because I regarded Counterparty's "proof of burn" well and Darkcoin's masternode security as still performing a monetary function. But your right that strictly speaking, those coins are removed from circulation so it does adversely affect "unconsumability".

Think I'll have to go off and digest that. Thanks for pointing out !  Smiley

Enable firewall for wallet on local machine on port 9999 and check all settings(or turn off), and set udp/tcp port forwarding on your router using something like 192.168.0.2 (depends on your local ip assignment if more than 1 machine).
And make sure the 1000 darkcoin have been deposited for 6 transactions.

Just one comment on the masternode part, the 1000DRK collateral is not really removed, I many times move the coins to do something and then fund the masternode again later. I just stop getting payments for a while when I do that.

While I respect your support for your chosen coin the idea of having ~400btc on an exchange scares the living shite out of me. Particulary Craptsy. Fair enough and if your willing to take that risk Im sure you have many more coins but trusting 100k to some random guys, jheeze not for me.

LoL ! Totally would me as well.

Just shows the supreme level of commitment. (Perhaps Otoh's also invested in a couple of credit default swaps - the Cryptsy one would be expensive).
