Bitcoin was being pumped on the back of ETF news, and now dumped  Undecided

Not much news in the ETF department.... Silbert's trust hasn't even traded a single unit yet on the secondary. Probably more to do with tomorrow's US Marshall auction.

risinhigher is a fine example of the intellect you can expect from the average drk believer.. it really does take a special kind of stupidity to think this is a good coin

Oh! I'm shocked, is it possible that we are all dumb here?

Next we'll see what kind of thing go out of a brilliant mind and smart person like Adam:

Darkcoin qualities:

- "anon" coin that isn't anon
- written by a dev who couldn't write proper code if his life depended on it
- exploitable by amateurs in 2 hours

Oh! God! This is brillant, really BRILLIANT! No explaination, zero proof, did you read it in a Kinder Surprise?
This is what you call a smart person and smart thinking?

Anyway, look at your name it's normal that you don't like dark...

Edit : now you can go buy another Kinder Surprise to write your next post! Close the door behind you.

In case you didn't notice, that post was from october. I made money on that shit and dumped it. But even cryptonote is a million times better than this embarrassment of a coin Wink

Cryptonote is a nice technology but its implementation in cryptocurrencies so far is slightly crap. There are too many things still to be worked out, and too many market moving goalposts for coins based on cryptonote to gain more than a hedging position right now. That might change if Bitcoin goes belly up but your appraisals of cryptocurrencies do more justice to that last quote I posted than they do of people like Ron Rivest or Adi Shamir.

You people think you can just pick up quality on the cheap purely by association. You call your devs "cryptographers" when they're not. You throw your toys out of the pram left right and centre if any other anon-coin has a higher marketcap even though it's for genuine commercial reasons outside of what cryptographic tech it happens to use.

You're generally about as broadly informed as a rat in a maze and with a forum dialog to suit.

There is actually some very interesting technical background to the cryptonote stuff but much of it wasn't designed for cryptocurrencies. Blind signatures was. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Chaum

If you people weren't so busy being miserable with envy then you might actually get somewhere. As it is it just looks like your killing off the very thing you think your promoting.

Not even I think that is a good thing.

$1,000 per DRK?

I need a guarantee and an insurance policy before I can trust that price level.
They said the same for Bitcoin but the price only lasted a few days.

Wow.  People in this thread have really been giving it to Tao of late  Cheesy

+1 I have to say I have sympathy for Tao - one of the hardest working community members with bag loads of passion and yet he gets quite a few knocks for promoting the "wrong stuff".

Live & let live  Wink

+1 Those who don't produce should remain silent. Tao produces, consistently. How many others put that amount of effort in?

Welcome onboard,  Founder of Bitcoin Malaysia!

Person like you can double DRK price in a pair of weeks.

Person like Antonopoulos can increase DRK price 10 times in a month.

But before doing it please - get enough DRK.  Cheesy

Litecoin dump today  Shocked

To buy DRK or just to enter the Bitcoin train?...

I've just noticed something quite interesting. (Maybe I'm the last person on the planet to notice this).

Bitcoin and Litecoin.....

I think what this is is BTCe traders alternately playing the LTC and USD markets depending on which one has more volatility. If Bitcoin is rising against the dollar, people dump LTC for BTC to go long against the dollar with bitcoin so they can dump into fiat at the top of the rise.

Then, when BTC dumps they move back to BTC at the bottom and then into Litecoin so they further lever their gains with the LTC / BTC ratio rise that comes off the back of the Bitcoin dump in the fiat market.

This is why Litecoin stays reasonably high. It's simply a high liquidity traders paradise. Nothing to do with fundamentals. If DRK was on there it would be a bitter sweet pill because, after an initial rise, it would get battered to death in the same way I imagine.

That's true but there's evidence of the beginnings of a more longer term decouple on the 3-day chart.

EDIT: This graph is slightly apples and oranges because it's BTC/USD superimposed with BTC/LTC. But it's basically an amplified version of both against USD and does have some relevance in that it's showing how little investment Litecoin has attracted from the recent rise in Bitcoin.
