Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Holy DRK fractals! From the 1-week chart down to the 30-minute chart... Fractals fractals fractals.
JL
Care to share a chart for a n00b to learn what you mean? Fractals are chart patterns that show up on multiple time frames. The easiest example to give is elliot wave theory, although I'm personally not a huge fan... especially as it relates to crypto. https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cryptsy/drkbtcI'm far away from a computer to post charts however the gist is that the current 30-minute chart pattern resembles the 4-hour chart which resembles the 1-day chart which resembles the 1-week chart. So you could almost say that whatever happens in the 30-minute timeframe (like a higher-high) will eventually work it's way up to the 1-week timeframe. And while Elliott Wave is basically a big fractal, this has nothing to do with Elliott Wave. JL Um, elliott waves are the perfect example of fractals with waves inside each respective impulse and corrective wave to lesser and greater degree. I wasn't saying DRK was following any sort of elliot pattern, just giving an easy example of what fractals are. Off topic, but what happened to your bearish BTC and all your wall street investors getting into SPR. lulz Yes, Elliott Waves are great examples of fractals, just like fern plants. No, luckily I didn't recommend any clients touch SPR... Lucky... I might for DRK here soon though. And my bearish BTC call is still in full-force and I might take on some shorts at Bitfinex here. And you're a supposed CTA or something, right? Let's see you make some predictions right here and now. What are your price predictions for BTC in short, medium and long-term? I don't believe in the usefulness of technical analysis, yet, in crypto. The markets are far too illiquid with such a large fundamental backdrop that would trump any sort of meaningful analysis. You're more than welcome to use it if you like but it's more coincidental than anything (at least presently). Having said that, momentum-based strategies seem most appropriate if you had to apply analysis with divergences being the standout for when momentum is dwindling. It would still be on the short-end of any sort of time horizon.

I had this idea before, I just didn't want to cover all the costs of the video on my own. A few people have already offered to help so I am confident enough to move forward with this. I will get a quote from www.myevideo.com and post it here and on DCT next week. I think the time is right because InstantX is out and we can include it in the video. This service looks pretty good. I'll donate some to this project as well.

LETS ASSUME A WORST CASE SCENARIO50% of MN's are run by "bad actors" or have backdoors (thru VSP provider consent)Question:Why did TOR get compromised?? Answer: NSA style traffic analysis Just like TOR ur crypto (such as it is i.e. antiquated) is prob sound. But how do you combat NSA style traffic analysis for MN's? Ignore me if you want… but this is another important question complements of yous truly. Answers on a postcard

Assuming there were 50% rogue nodes, each round would be an independent event, in this case 50/50 that a compromised node is selected processing the transaction. To be able to prove with reasonable doubt, you would need to have your rogue nodes selected every round, or 50%^# of rounds for probability. At 4 rounds, you're looking at a 6.25% chance of having your rogue nodes selected every round, at 8 rounds, 0.39%, at 16 rounds, .0015%. That's just as the system stands right now--with masternode blinding which is currently in development, no single node would have all the inputs so your probabilities essentially go to 0. Good try.

yeah it reminds me a bit of those articles i sometimes read on http://www.forexminute.com/bitcoin/(Cryptocurrency Trading News by Yashu Gola) except Yashu discusses altcoins very briefly while Dr Tamer Sameeh of newsbtc.com focusses primarely on Darkcoin. I think he gives good analyses, as does Yashu. edit : i dont have any trader background so this is just a personal opinion of mine

None of that stuff he mentions actually works. I've read a ridiculous amount of academic studies on technical analysis and have preformed numerous tests myself... All those things he mentioned are lagging, worthless and/or pointless indicators... But hey if it works for him then good on him.

I would love to hear your opinion. Consolidation for the next move, likely upwards, is going on in every timeframe. In the short-term (30-minute chart), strong support sits at 0.0115. In the medium-term (6-hour chart), strong support sits at 0.0111 and 0.01. In the long-term, strong support sits at 0.01, 0.007 and 0.005. Overall this many strong "base-layers" of support levels point to an awesome foundation from which price could easily take off from. Volume supports this due to 'material' volume increases seen with each price increase recently, and each increase has been followed by volume drying up and price consolidation. Price resistance is spread out up at 0.0123, 0.0127, 0.0161 and of course 0.0274. Breaking each level upwards, or downwards, across all major exchanges leads to the next price target. Overall IMO this recent runup from 0.006 to now will look like a little blip up on the charts when all's said and done with this price increase I'm expecting over 2015. JL
