Mining never stops. Minting of new coins does. By then, tx fees alone will support the miners.

Who ever is running the PR...just a suggestion but I feel like their should be much more heavier PR campaigns and more efforts geared towards http://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/ .......The dark markets are eying Darkcoin after all this BTC and ROSS drama. Now, its time to take action. Explain how its been stable (which is a huge selling point for vendors who get crushed buy volatility) How easy it is to anonymize, with much smaller fees then the Darknet alternatives like helix and many others....Right now DARK has the tools that these markets, vendors and merchants need....its time to show them the light, and get them into the dark

I am feeling very happy about how things are going. This momentum we are gaining feels very solid, I am constantly getting emails from interested parties from China. New services are looking for orientation as to how to integrate DRK to their platforms, I am on calls and meetings every week for Darkcoin and crypto businesses are more receptive to our emails and calls.

 It was not like this last year, last year it was a lot more of cold calling and handling rejection. I can totally feel the shift in perspective from the market and I can tell you this project is going very well and with a lot more hard work and persistence, I am positive everyone who has been so patient and supportive will see their commitment rewarded.

 In hindsight our first rise was much more based on speculative excitement about how great this project could be but we weren't ready yet. Now we are making much more solid progress, I guess that is just the natural progression of things, but we are still really undervalued.

Little by little, people are learning to invest in the team, the ever growing community and the infrastructure. I always hear the haters criticize the perceived weaknesses of the hour, how short-sighted they are. History should have teach them by now that Evan and team will continue to improve and refine the solution. Plus, you never know when he will make the next big announcement with some new breakthrough. That is what I am investing on, not the solution as it stands right now but what is still to come in the future. It is so clear to me that I just wonder how some people just don't see it.

I disagree.. mining bitcoin will NOT stop in 2140.  Only the reward has gone close to 0.. you will still have to mine to get blocks and you will get rewarded with fees.

I disagree.. mining bitcoin will NOT stop in 2140.  Only the reward has gone close to 0.. you will still have to mine to get blocks and you will get rewarded with fees.

That's also one of the benefits to Darkcoin's features InstantX and Darksend... it allows the miners to receive even more tx fees from usage.

I saw a huge Buy order, over 4,000 DRK that wanted to execute 15min ago, but pulled back due to low liquidity, and there are a lot of Chinese that want to get in DRK but there isn't any Chinese exchanges for DRK yet, maybe we need to call BTC38 and get them on board...

I'd hope for a slow burn or small hops than a massive increase - it's really nice to have some stable upward mobility setting a new solid floor each time then to worry about a ton of speculators pulling out for no good reason other than missing their return.

I really prefer a smooth increase, slowly, and steady. We don't need pumpers in the DRK train. Pumpers are always a problem for the coin.

I  have exchanged messages with BTC38 recently, about 3 days ago was our last communication. They are aware of the opportunity and keeping an eye on it. Like any proper business they make their decisions for their own reasons at their own time, I personally think it is a huge opportunity for them but they have to reach that conclusion on their own.

I think showing some community support could help, tweet @btc38com and tell them you would go trade there if they add DRK.

I'll be happy to contribute as well. A clear and concise animation along the lines of the "What is Bitcoin?" video is exactly what Darkcoin needs

Thanks guys, I had time to think about this and will definitely coordinate an animated explanatory video. I was going to wait till Monday to start a discussion on it.  

My  main doubt is whether to do a video that explains Darkcoin by comparing it to Bitcoin and how is DRK different? Or, doing an explanatory video about Darkcoin without referring to BTC?  

Any thoughts?

No, you should be getting higher, I think around 6.5 megahash, I only own the R9 290 tri OC and thats 7.45 megahash, so you will be slightly under. The rate you're getting suggests you're not using Wolf0's bins, you must substitute your already created bins in the mining folder with Wolf's, by renaming Wolf's to the originals and replacing the appropiate ones-make sure you know which chipset it is (or copy name and do all 4, pitcairn,tahiti,cape verde and hawaii)

I know it is premature, but I can't wait for the day Darkcoin finally takes the number 2 spot that Litecoin has held on to forever. That will be a big deal. And to put things into perspective, around the time BTC rallied to its all-time high, Litecoin went from about a $40-$50M marketcap to $1.1B in the span of about 5-6 weeks.
