Stop cracking me up, you're doing it on purpose  Grin
I remember reading some of bitcoinexpress's post's about the vulnerabilities of ring signatures and Monero, and as soon as he'd pointed out the weaknesses, they all called him a troll and jumped on him like a pack of hyenas.
bitcoinexpress seemed like one of the few people who actually understood the coding and what was going on (I vaguely remember him pointing out something about darkcoin's security sometime way back?)

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Hey, thanks for my ratio! I take it with me in my bio wherever I go...
<====

Not had chance to try version 0.11.2.17 yet -it looks a little faster but we shall see, but going to hold off until Evan and the Devs release a fix for current sporking for the masternode donation problem.
Btw, wheres your donation address, not in your signature ?
Yeah I don't post it in my sig because I am not about doing what I do for that purpose. I am not above receiving DASH love, though, my donation addy can be found in my Masternode guide:

https://dashtalk.org/threads/taos-masternode-setup-guide-for-dummies.2680/

Cheers!

Great to see the Tao ratio mentioned in your details, cheers for all the work you do Grin

Is there a tipbot for DASH?

Not that I know, but several people have asked for it lately. If someone has the skills, it's time to set it up!!

I was going to bid for a Casascius 10BTC coin being offered by these guys who are trying to raise funding for a browser tipbot - they are going to make it open source in May.

Might be worth forking it and contributing to their funding?

Serious question: Would anyone consider now a good time to invest in more Dash? Price going up or down from here? Still seems like there is some reservation in buy orders since the name change.

Alpha grade Huh
As my mate says when he thinks someone is taking the piss out of him, 'Are you having a laugh?'

You do realize that Bitcoin itself is still in beta after over 5 years, right? It was in Alpha for years, by the way...

But you are right Alpha and beta are two very different things. I know that projects in beta can be called that for years, despite actually being production ready. Everyone knows that.

To be honest, I'm not really sure what my point is, other than to just say there is a difference between Alpha grade and Beta grade and Monero is still Alpha grade.

Yes, I know Monero is different from Bitcoin, so the comparison is not really that note worthy. But, you know, because Monero.

That's all I have to say about that.

Thanks for clarifying that Monero is still in Alpha and Bitcoin is still in Beta.

Keep talking lol, you dashtards are doing a fine job showing everyone just how clueless you really are  Shocked

LOL and you accuse others of ignorance while spewing this kind of nonsense!

Oh the irony..... Grin

bitcoin was unique and revolutionary for the first 5 years of its existence,of course it had a protracted alpha cycle.
All the other subsequent forks and clones had this as a basis and Monero is just a fork of the original Cryptonote project along with 26 or so other lame forks!
To use Bitcoin as justification for the Monero devs still not having enough faith in their project to even move into a beta release is hilarious!

nice one you are officially the dunce of the day..

Serious answer... no.

Why would you be buying when the insider instaminers are selling?

Shit

don't really understand *Why* this dump...

Top two wallets seem to be selling coins over the last month

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/address.dws?1184351.htm

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/address.dws?293514.htm

Just follow them back.

Also someone trying to make a panic dump on the news of the "fork" that didn't happen.

I know for fact this is not selling, rather it is indicative of setting up MN's (I know this account holder).  Also, it should be evident by the fact that every output xfer is rounded to the nearest 1k Dash.

Nice battle on the Monero price ongoing, looks like the pumpers are dumping after the news Monero is not anonymous. Some that have not seen the news yet are still trying to stabilize the price. Feel sorry for those losing any money on those trades, but it is interesting to see

Aye, I think all those school kids dancing and skipping around his feet and singing to his choir just realised they have been done like roast dinner.

Speaking of, Hi Adam White!

It really is a 3 point exist strategy

-snip-

If you buy it you are making a bet on whether or not that happens. Simple as that. You don't buy XMR because you want to use it to buy a pack of gum at your local convenience store. It's 100% speculative. Decide how you want to bet, and bet, or don't bet.

1. Pump the price

Go to DASH thread and recruit suckers by trolling

2. Push and push Monero, while keeping the official view fairly close guarded

3. Dump into the suckers

Isn't the equivalent, the Masternode system as an off-system asset and the standard blockchain as an on-system asset.
And the transaction locking can create a smart contract.
So Dash is all 3 of these in 1, plus anonymity and soon multi-signature keys, so whats missing if anything?

http://gendal.me/2015/03/30/bitcoin-as-a-smart-contract-platform/

and looks like first serious competition from a bank for blockchain technology.

I'm lovin the pumper's move from monero to bitbay. Everytime I look at that thing it's up another 30%. All I need is for bay to go to 200 sats and bitcoin to get back to $1000 and I'll be in the market for a new MacbookPro 2.9GHz dual-core Turbo Boost 3.3GHz 8GB/512GB PCIe-based flash storage1 Intel Iris Graphics 6100.

Should be less than a few hours away  Wink
