LTC crashing into some big support walls right now, will they hold?
Last year I said that at 28800 coins per day X 10$ per LTC, it would take more than 100mn USD to absorb its annual inflation and sustain it's price (marketcap around 250-300mn USD). Inflation predictably killed them as it's unsustainable.

Funny to see those noob traders at cryptsy, constantly eating sell walls instead of placing buy support ( which is quite weak)

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

Just dreaming for a sec
It's not a dream. It's nothing more than a mundane practical reality, otherwise I wouldn't be here. There is no other "coin" that supplies the one missing monetary property of Bitcoin without turning its value offering into a private bookkeeping toy.

Best idea is to check out the Top Hashers ( http://www.xpool.ca/leaderboard) for DASH and find one about the same speed as your planning to mine with. That will give you an idea of what to expect in the terms of payments. I think there have been some longtime SHA miners on the pool and they may pipe up and let you know. And if you fancy it, just get paid out in BTC. My leaderboard page has a normalized hash rate column which calculates what the scrypt equivalent would and sorts them like that by default so the one at the top typically is earning the most BTC regardless of what algo their mining. Cheers!

Holy shit...I just setup my first masternode using Tao's guide. One week ago I had about 2 BTC to play with. Today I have a Dash masternode thanks to a certain coin's 1000% rally this week (and some luck/skill with selling right at the top - myfarm can vouch for that because I urged him to do the same ) . This has been my goal for months now and I'm finally ready to be all-in with Evan and dev team and Dash. I've left myself a small bit of coinage to trade around with (in hope of someday trading up to perhaps a second masternode)...we'll see on that. JL

Dear all, if you are new here. This thread is enjoyable but infested with trolls. They are nice to play with and help to promote Dash. For intelligent discussions, help with setups, road maps, guides go to dashtalk.orgFriendly bump for visibility

Just started brand new wallet and it says no blockchain source available.
Is the seed node down or do I need to add something to the dash.conf?
Thanks

Delete peers.dat file and try again? Tried that Debug.log says "0 addresses from DNS Seeds" I think they are down. Will manually add a node.

JL Good you - I'll join the MN club in about 1-2 weeks :-D Yes, I'm just short of a full MN for myself - ugh sux being poor - lol Wow! MB, I just might beat you! I am only 10 Dash short at the moment. I will need to give Splawik his two-week notice, so I can get my shares back. I have got my raspberry pi already, so I have two weeks to figure everything out and get things up and running. I want to thank you for your help with my first shares. I remember very well thinking I would never get to the point I am at now. I never realized back then that you did not have your own masternodes. I am happy to hear you are about to arive as well! Let's hear it for the little big guys. We may not be whales by some standards, but with less than 2,500 masternodes, we are the world's elite.
