I was holding off on dropping a new Windows wallet build until I could include the escrow manager. If you want a build sooner let me know, I can do one with the I2P stuff. The code is already up in github.
The issue with darksend is that there is a hardcoded collateral address in there, which I find a little scary. I want to look at it and evaluate it before making that stuff visible in the UI again.
jase there are a couple of ways to achieve connection encryption like that. We use something like that under the hood for the escrow orchestration and market infrastructure.
Glad other devs are finally addressing this, havent really ever seen it be discussed. There is some very sketchy stuff going on in the depths of the darksend code, I suggest all you investors dive deeper and take a look Compared the closed source code where you cannot even audit it? Ill take my chances with open source code and people auditing it, the other choice is to trust a closed source code and trust the Dev. The later is current banking tech, and i think most of us are trying to move away from that.

Aaaaaaaaaa! Ok, lets do boxing mayweather vs pacquiao. I put 1 DASH for Mayweather.
haha, don't know much about boxing but I checked the odds here, http://www.directbet.eu/Event.cshtml?EventID=27376403and it looks like the odds are in your favour, but what I will do to play the game is take the 'rough' odds of 2 to 1 in my favour (based on directbet's current odds) So you pay me 2 Dash if Pacquiao wins and I pay you 1 Dash if Mayweather wins, do we have a bet ?

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

I am having a flashback... Was here a stonhedge that lost all his DASH in a betting site? Not into betting myself, after last FIFA Europe betting heavilly on Germany (BASTARDS ) , i decided not to bet anymore... Its was only for 1 Dash, I believe Stonehedge's was something like 28,000 !!! Think is better if we are really going to bet to make it between ourselves and then at least 1 of us wins, although don't make it too much because then there could be animosity created (betting whole masternodes would be silly wouldn't it) Suggest we could create a pot and bet on a sporting event or something for a laugh. (Btw, I lost 5 dash on Reading not winning the FA cup.) Aaaaaaaaaa! Ok, lets do boxing mayweather vs pacquiao. I put 1 DASH for Mayweather. lol, no book is going to give THAT good of odds on Mayweather. You're basically asking for a 2:1 on the favorite. EDIT: I see sub covered that which is a fairer bet.

Thankyou very much, its all genuine data carefully logged and tabulated in a lab book with a number of earlier versions on 2 machines. I consider the Tao sync ratio as the quality rating of the wallet (I got the idea from a similar definition in electronics called the 'Q' factor which is basically a unitless ratio that measures how fast and reactive a circuit is with bandwidth). Btw, earlier Tao sync ratio for very last darkcoin wallet release (11.1.25) = 1.35 seconds / hour and no other coin as far as I know breaks the unity barrier of 1 second per hour of update! I am just about to do the 0.10.1 version of bitcoin and update the Dash version and let the numbers do the talking, this allows me to plot the quality trend timeline ...

I could be wrong, but these could be part of the legacy DS before all collateral and fees went to the network. If you're referring to something else, I'd love to know where. It used to be used for DS collateral transactions, but I thought it was a better idea to pay collateral to the miners in the form of a transaction fee. I didn't remove the actual key though, because it's used to check masternode inputs to make sure they're valid. Here's the only two places it's referenced in the code currently: https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/src/masternode.cpp#L265https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/src/masternodeman.cpp#L674Once those two references are fixed, it can be completely removed.

When/If crypto gets regulated currencies like Dash would obviously not suceed anywhere. Scams like what happened with Dash dont usually work well with the average person adoption. Then to make things even worse, there's still an address with inputs connected to the original instamine, and that address currently owns 11% of all Dash in existence: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/wallet.dws?559582.htm. So now we can undeniably say that Dash/Darkcoin's distribution after the instamine is horrible.Dash is simply a scam, the evidence is absolutely overwhelming. Holy shit, I checked the link and it's true! When the ambush-miners are ready to leak/dump, you trashbag-holding guys better hope Otoh wants to buy (another) 11% of all the Dash in existence!

Once [some things and stuff] happens, the hardcoded collateral address can be completely removed.
Once [some things and stuff] happens, the reference node can be completely removed.
Once [some things and stuff] happens, the non-blinded Masternodes can be completely removed.
Once [some things and stuff] happens, Dash can scale to infinity and beyond.
Anyone else starting to see a pattern ^here?

The mobile wallets are coming along nicely. Some nice progress is made with the android wallet i noticed : https://github.com/HashEngineering/darkcoin-wallet/commits/release-4Another topic : Any info on the dirty merge and fix of latest Bitcoin into Dash ? i read some info on it (seems there are some tools that Github provides that let one merge and fix branches of code for compilation), i was just wondering how lenghty such processs is Thanks for the feedback on the Android Wallet updates. Based on the feedback from various users on this forum and dashtalk.org, I am releasing the Version 4.18 Dash Wallet on Google Play. After making sure everything is fine, the wallet will be updated to Bitcoin Wallet 4.27 and then more DarkSend / InstantX and Masternode support will be added. GitHub Download: https://github.com/HashEngineering/darkcoin-wallet/releases/tag/v4.18r3

Except, Tao, that I don't know anything about coding, and although I could basically see what's happening in the code....sometimes.... I'm glad there are people out there reviewing it and asking questions. Without such people, there is no point to being open sourced. Though I'm always amazed when Evan drops in to answer a question! He must have little mice here to alert him or something, LOL. I'm not one of 'em at the moment, LOL. So anyway, honestly, even if the reason they're combing through the code is to find fault and even if they were aggressive about it, I'm really glad they're there. They may even find a problem, which I have no doubt Evan could fix quickly. It's super great to have such people. They help the coin! So thank you very much industrialcoinmagic!
