I tried instant transactions yesterday for the first time, across 2 PCs.  Have to say i knew the theory, but as an existing user of various cryptos, seeing this in action is like a lightbulb going on over your head.  You click 'ok' on screen 1 then bam funds on screen 2, no waiting.  nice user experience. if you didn't try it yet to get the actual feel, you should.

EDIT: first time on DS too...bit slow (~4 hrs for 50 dash) to anon the coins for sending but no issues, guess it speeds up with more use.  but overall feels like the system and all these new features are working Smiley

how is Monero a scam?

Flogging encrypted bookkeeping software and calling it 'money' ?

Dismissing the public in its role as trusted third party and calling it 'privacy' ?

Allowing a balance to be viewed down the end of a toilet roll and calling it 'auditability' ?

The first 24 hours of the coins existence keep causing us problems

Then you should

A) Burn the pre/insta mined coins

or

B) relaunch the coin

Otherwise, your coin is being build on a foundation of quicksand.

Put another way, the instamine skews coin distribution in a way which supersedes and suppresses the crucial network effect.
It is ironic that you previously claimed that the social contract does not mean any thing to Dash. However now you are suggesting that we should burn coins or relaunch the currency entirely? Which would be one of the greatest breaches in the social contract I could imagine. Your reasoning is ironically flawed. If you are so upset about the injustice of Dash there are much worse cryptocurrencies out there that are much more deserving of your skepticism.
Really? Name a single coin that is more deserving than the X/DRK/DASH scam.
Working my way down from the market cap Ripple, Stellar, Bytecoin and Paycoin. Most of these are completely pre-mined with the exception of Bytecoin which had a massive hidden pre-mine. I am not saying these are all bad projects, though in terms of fairness of the initial distribution these are all much worse then DASH. Sorry to point my finger at these other coins, you did ask for this information though. Smiley

Anonymous SIM card for DASH fans:

The SIM card is anonymous for the following reasons:

1) It will not be registered on your name. It is registered on the distributor company`s name.
2) The refilling of the balance can be done fully anonymously.

Price is 7.2 Dashes! Price includes shipping costs.

+1. AdamWhite, qvan, arielbit, icebreaker etc all stayed silent until DRK renamed to Dash and the price went up, now they are fixated on posting here all day about launch some issues 14 months ago which have been covered / explained / voted on 1000 times - I think they post here more than anyone else....and they are all invested in a certain rival anon tech launched off-the-shelf on Darkcoin's coattails last summer...and which is currently falling flat on its face...replying just makes them think like their posts have any value...Smiley

I was holding off on dropping a new Windows wallet build until I could include the escrow manager.  If you want a build sooner let me know, I can do one with the I2P stuff.  The code is already up in github.

The issue with darksend is that there is a hardcoded collateral address in there, which I find a little scary.  I want to look at it and evaluate it before making that stuff visible in the UI again.

jase there are a couple of ways to achieve connection encryption like that.  We use something like that under the hood for the escrow orchestration and market infrastructure.

Glad other devs are finally addressing this, havent really ever seen it be discussed. There is some very sketchy stuff going on in the depths of the darksend code, I suggest all you investors dive deeper and take a look

I'm assuming we're referring to addresses:

Xq19GqFvajRrEdDHYRKGYjTsQfpV5jyipF
y1EZuxhhNMAUofTBEeLqGE1bJrpC2TWRNp

With the first not having activity since July 31, 2014 and the latter with no activity. I could be wrong, but these could be part of the legacy DS before all collateral and fees went to the network.

If you're referring to something else, I'd love to know where.

It used to be used for DS collateral transactions, but I thought it was a better idea to pay collateral to the miners in the form of a transaction fee. I didn't remove the actual key though, because it's used to check masternode inputs to make sure they're valid.

Here's the only two places it's referenced in the code currently:
https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/src/masternode.cpp#L265
https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/src/masternodeman.cpp#L674

Once those two references are fixed, it can be completely removed.

I think this is a good solution. +1

Haha, well played.  Adam walked right into that one.

But when it comes to scammy shitcoins, Dash takes the crown.

Not even PayCoin has a worse reputation, despite the 'family resemblance' between PrimeControllers and MasterNodes:

yeah, i really don't care about darkcoin until evan's filthy hands touched dashcoin and tried to kill it, it is the time DRK is renaming to DASH btw...

i see, you dark turds can attack monero by labeling the so called trolls monero shills..what a lame move..

to make long story short, i kinda like it here-makes my day, debunking lies, exposing scam and stopping you folks from circle jerking.
