gunna add another BTC into this. Doesn't this have the potential to be really huge?
Yes. The only scenario that takes market share away from dark will be if bitcoin implements CoinJoin directly, which according to the thread is a long ways off (if it ever even happens). This coin shines even brighter (or darkens even darker if we keep with the theme) when you look at the hashing functions and the quicker block times compared to bitcoin. That said, all the technology for this coin is still in alpha (or doesn't exist) and is closed source at the moment. Buy at your own risk, YMMV. When I got into bitcoin I told my grandfather that no matter what, there was a black market that operated within its confines and would continue to do so, even if a white market never developed, thus preserving/increasing it's value (barring catastrophic outcomes). I'm thinking the same thing will happen with darkcoin. That said, I hope, as I did with bitcoin, that a larger white market develops. The black market NEEDS darkcoin, the white market WANTS it. So far, so good. disclaimer: I don't condone doing illegal shit Given the variable block rewards, is there any way to know how many DRK have been mined to date? I'm watching the dumping on the exchanges at anywhere near 0.002 and there's no way it can be mine-to-dump. There are only 13,248 being mined per day at the current diff / reward, yet people are dumping hundreds and thousands at a time. Much of it must be early miners or buyers who have the attention span of a goldfish, and I'm curious how many of them can be left at the current turnover rate.

While handing out the small tip earlier for the darkcoin accepted logo, I wished darksend was already implemented and I could just press a button to use it. Just imagining it felt nice.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

There was some pretty big buying when it hit c-cex and the volume spike in the early days is apparent. I remember a buying order like 50.000 coins at 0.00018 and people thought "nice we are cashing great by selling to this guy"... which then turned to something "look at how this buy order is chewed up"..."hmmm maybe it wasn't so smart to sell" which was followed by a price spike to 0.0005, lol. Well this guy has made like 45.000 coins for "free", considering the current price of 0.002. And there were other orders too, further back, starting from 0.000020something to 0.000070something. Many coins acquired back then by investors. As for mintage, it is ~3mn / 81mn to go.

I really need more coffee before I post, it didn't even occur to me to look there. Thanks. So at current levels, the amount in circulation increases by about 0.39% each day. That percentage of course gets lower every day assuming the block reward stays where it is now. Interesting.

Metal style This is fantastic! But it looks a bit strange smaller, can you alter the lighting to make it look more natural?

Maybe we can try something like Topaz no was thinking more with lapis lazuli but darker with some peace of gold and keep the metal texture is amazing! And maybe change the lighting "less horizontal" Lapis lazuli :

5-6mh/s. Do you consider this a logo?
I think this is more like a photorealistic coin, but in no way this is a logo.
It's pretty good actually

I think there are less than 350,000 coins up to this point (it was around 300,000 a week or so ago?) The darksend is working, eduffield is cautious and wants to make sure nothing unforeseen happens when it's implemented. Worked great last night.

The whales are slowly figuring out this is the coin and are moving over. The price on these coins is extremely cheap still... huge opportunity to make a lot of money.

Can we create a database like this: https://litecoin.info/Mining_Hardware_Comparison...where hardware name/model, program, version, platform & other notes can be added for the darkcoin platform?
