I must say I started mining this coin yesterday and everything runs 50% plus cooler. I need to get my killawatt out and see the draw compared to a normal scrypt coin. So far I love it!
Thanks Devs
I also put few of my card to mine this coin and it's true that cards run a lot cooler. Please post results from that killawatt reader. Ok here are the results. This miner is a 4x270 Normal Coin: 887 - 892 Darkcoin: 550-552 That's a huge difference on my power bill That's a big difference. What intensity are you using and how much coin per day per card does it generate?

I like the developments on the logo but I think we need a symbol for DarkCoin. I like this...
D
It's easy to replicate with strikethrough and differentiates from the vertical strikes with the dollar/bitcoin symbols. In a sentence it becomes e.g. I'll send you D30. Thoughts?
Whatever it is, I think the symbol needs to be in the coin logo.

Given the variable block rewards, is there any way to know how many DRK have been mined to date? I'm watching the dumping on the exchanges at anywhere near 0.002 and there's no way it can be mine-to-dump. There are only 13,248 being mined per day at the current diff / reward, yet people are dumping hundreds and thousands at a time. Much of it must be early miners or buyers who have the attention span of a goldfish, and I'm curious how many of them can be left at the current turnover rate.
I think there are less than 350,000 coins up to this point (it was around 300,000 a week or so ago?) The darksend is working, eduffield is cautious and wants to make sure nothing unforeseen happens when it's implemented. Worked great last night. You are missing a zero there tantestefana. Plus you've been mining them for a while! Really? yah, I mined from the beginning, but not knowing what I was doing. Wish I had known about amazon ec2 and windows azure in the beginning, because all I had were my two duel core computers, LOL. So, nope, I'm not one of the rich But I know you're rich spiritually Tante, and thats what matters. Ha ha, Well, it's been an awesome learning experience!

More people to come test the reddit tip bot!:) reddit.com/r/DRKcoin accept a tip and you will register with the tipbot and then you are able to see your wallet for deposits and withdraws It has been running great so far, the tipbot has also received over 200 comment karma the last couple of days so I bet it's not bugging the dev for more captchas lately. Talked with the dev about being able to tip on other subreddits aswell, it should be available soon!

Someone has still mining with cpu miner? An improved version of the miner may come soon Will there be an improvement for older CPUs without AVX and AES? AES processors will have an improvement by about 10%. For not AES processors processors I can work on it, I have some idea for about a 5%. Do you want to do some test for this? I need testers with linux that can compile by himself
