Nice, but can someone set up a p2pool nearer to EU or US?
I'd be happy to contribute/partner/invest in a server, but I work offshore and maintenance is too complicated when I'm behind very tight proxies

Is the P2Pool code for DRK available? I could setup one if it's out there (haven't bothered to look for it yet)

I mean the code for running a p2pool, the x11 hash and network config.

While it can be figured out, it takes time, and unless you're a popular pool, you're not making much in p2pool fees (I've got a couple, I run them more as a community service than coin earners), which incidentally is why as a miner you should always mine in a p2pool Wink

No, but I imagine the biggest problem is to get the values for the networks.py?
Perhaps it would be an idea to contact that South Korean pool operator and ask him if he's interested in sharing his project for a small fee?

anyone know why this isnt working? Miner simply doesnt start.

sgminer -o stratum+tcp://drk.coinmine.pl:6090 -u myuser.worker -p x --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1150 -k darkcoin -I 19 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 20000  --lookup-gap 2 --no-submit-stale --gpu-fan 85

One of the sgminers writes "Kernel darkcoin is experimental" and doesnt go on the other doesnt even start.

Tried miners found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0 (SPH)

Would be happy if someone could help!

is it just me.. or is it pretty nerveracking how one pool has about 65% of the hashrate...

we REALLY need other pools to step up to the plate AND the miners to suck it up and join these pools (or p2pool)

As ddos'ers continue taking them down one by one, what else can be expected?

The way to fight back would certainly be to set up p2pools all over the place! Smiley

It could be simply that it has a lot of traffic going on atm. Try to set up a few backups to see if it's just hanging on the connect-attempt.
I had the same problem yesterday, and when I gave it more pools to play with it connected on one of them until the most wanted started answering.

With current 4760Mhash/s net difficulty there must be several huge pools at least. But I can't figure any of them that are as much as 700MHs and alive. Can it be that all the power is getting from p2pools?

Try to remove some parameters, especially the thread-concurrency and gpu-commands and add them again one by one if it works?
We're doing it more or less the same way and it works over here..
