I wonder how many people who hold DRK realize that DarkSend is closed source and could be doing one or all of the following: 1. Creating more DRK for the devs so they can slowly cash out on exchanges to maximize profits. 2. Double spend DRK on exchanges or merchant (if any) who accept DRK. 3. Conceal the total amount of DRK that really exists given you can't actually trace where DRK came from on an open and public ledger like BTC and LTC has. 4. DarkSend could have malware that is running on your computer or scanning activity or key logging or even wallet stealing. I'll never download anything crypto related to my computer that isn't open-source. That is just idiotic.  Nice try. Quick question though: did you check the source of every single coin you bought/mined? |

Volume over past 24h is over 3.5 mln USD, second only to the BTC and much higher than any other coin.I mean the volume of the last hour. Value (to BTC) havent been stable for the timespan you write about. Its silence before the storm. On Mintpal alone, in the past 5 hours: ~50.000 Darkcoins have been bought.

This has been covered many times before, and it works more or less like that: Big players use trading bots with small amounts driving the market up or down. When they need to accumulate, they place sell walls and drive the price down using low volume 20-30% below ATH This causes flash shake out and instantly buying large amounts from the sell order book, which has been pushed down. When they pump up, they place buy walls, and drive the price up using low volume. This causes panic buying and when the buy order book is thick enough, they dump. Now the difference between Darkcoin and other coins is, that due to the fundamental values, flash dump by pumpers never causes panic selling, price recovers and settles on the higher floor than before. Rinse and repeat - win-win for everyone except the panic sellers who panic bought. |
