That is true... what I would wish for is to have a raspberry pi that has somekind of X11 USB ASIC miner attached to it. Then we could make this work.

I feel very honoured to be able to come on here, take part in this community and express my thanks. You're probably one of the most dedicated and professional people that's ever been involved in crypto and, frankly, financial transaction/monetary systems. Your greater understanding of economics and human behavioural factors that determine the strengths and flaws of financial systems as well as your deep understanding of the technical architectural issues networks like this need to address is what's separating Darkcoin from virtually everything else.

The point is to utilise as many spare CPU cycles as we can find. No reason we can't use Pi! And if people want to direct their rigs to the pool for a few hours a month all the better. Or donate DRK indeed.

I'll go away and have a chat with Propulsion, Evan and a few others and if it fits into the bigger picture I'll announce something soon.

I mean go ahead and use your rasp pi, but you're not even going to generate a single penny if you ran it for an entire year. So it really is not worth your hassle to keep it running.

Stonehedge, it is possible to allow users to set a donation amount and any funds donated could be earmarked for a Foundation address. It would actually be very easy to implement it. I'm all for it.

This solution Evan has devised could be a game changer. The biggest thing holding back crypto from mainstream use as a currency is the relatively high transaction time vs traditional payment methods such as card transactions and paypal etc. If transaction time can be reduced to under 30 seconds then it becomes a viable option for payment of day-to-day transactions such as groceries, restaurants, fuel, impulse purchases.
