However, I always regard the real father of Darkcoin - the guy who actually invented Darkcoin - as this guy here: David Chaum the inventor of blind signatures in 1982. Pretty visionary that if you ask me. A full 3 decades before version 2 came out.

They thought the threat to the dollar was going to come from high quality photocopiers - r.o.t.f.w.l. !! That cracks me up - if only. Today's central banks don't even need a mint anymore nevermind a photocopier.

Get me one of those - the idea of hoards of people burning the midnight oil photocopying squillions of dollar bills to spend on real things might be infinitely preferable to whats going on now.

I am not angry at mintpal anymore. We are actually lucky that all the Darkcoin withdrawals are stuck in there and that the volume is dropped to 12btc for the last 24 hour. With the news of an exploit in this magnitude we would have seen even worst reaction from the market if mintpal was operating with top drk volume. We just got luck because of this perfect timing.
