Take the lottery crap to somewhere else. It does nothing to do to aid Darkcoin development. That topic has as much use as the rest of trolls in this thread, even less useful than the faucet discussions.

It offers another way to use DRK and that is good for any coin.

If the lotto site takes off, I plan to setup a bounty pool with 50% of the sites earnings and put it into the "DRK Bug/Hack Bounty". This would help to make the coin safer overall. I have more plans but the site needs to get going first. We have a few people in the 45DRK lotto and that's a start.

I am not trolling at all, I am trying to help DRK and help some lucky people win a nice DRK bankroll.  Grin

We have 3 DRK Lotto's running now:

45DRK Lotto:

Prize Pool: 45DRK

Cost Per Ticket: 1DRK

Total Tickets For Sale 50

Purchase Tickets Here>>  http://drklotto.com

Payouts:

Prize Pool: 450DRK

Cost Per Ticket: 10DRK

I'm still unable to access my Mintpal account. I've sent in a ticket over 24 hours ago asking them to disable the broken two factor but haven't received a response as of yet.

Just sent them another email. I really feel like I'm about to be Goxxed.

Funny thing is, if you reset your password, it lets you temporarily bypass the two factor authentication accessing your account but you are still unable to turn it off.

As of now, I have my funds being held in their exchange with no means of withdrawing them. I should of taken everything off that exchange when I had the chance...

Same issue. I followed up again saying it has been 3 days and that this is ridiculous. I have traded enough in BTC volume in the past 7 months that my account shouldn't continue to be locked. Having said that, I was vulgar and basically told them their exchange is a fucking scam. I fortunately don't have any coins on there though. I took the last of what I had a few hours before they took their site offline for the V2 upgrade. No amount of free fees will bring me back there.

I have several btc tied up in Mintpal including several btc in dark.  They released v2 absolutely too well in advance of it ACTUALLY being prepared for release.  They are still readding BASIC features day by day.  This is amateur hour and I'm extremely disappointed as I will be honest, while volume hasn't been there, mintpal was my favorite exchange. Now?  Certain coins, inaccessible. I've watched some investments fall without recourse.  No access to certain alts, no idea if they are still there.  In fairness, most all of the coins that I had on there prior to the upgrade are still there. My concern is obvious, I am genuinely concerned that if I withdraw anything, it's not going to work.  I am therefore going to be patient, wait, hope they get it together and try to liquidate to btc, withdrawing in small amounts if it comes down to it.  If they get it together, I would love to continue to use the exchange (never had an intention to stop using them), but I am definitely displeased with this amateurish handling of an overhaul.  They should absolutely NEVER have attempted to roll out a brand new UI etc. when you have people's money at stake unless they were absolutely ready.  It's really quite unbelievable.  All this said, no fees for the remainder of the year.. I do see the basic exhancements and needs getting updated day by day by day... hopefully soon I'll have access to all of my coins and things will get back to normal.  I can see that happening and that's what I anticipate.  I don't think they're taking people's money, I just think they've handled the upgrade like a second-rate exchange and that has caused me to lose some confidence in an exchange that I otherwise loved.

I'm also extremely disappointed about what Mintpal have done. Prior to this I've never had a single issue or problem and have been trading there very happily. This morning my concerns about the situation crossed a line into a realm where I'm very worried about what's likely to happen to them over the next few day/weeks. I expect they will have created a stampede for the exits, so appallingly unprofessional and incomprehensibly poorly managed has been this "upgrade". Just exactly what would have possessed them to embark on such a high risk lobotomy to their trading platform and reputation is beyond me. With the wild gyration swings in DRK's price on there this morning I expect many people are having all sorts of trading problems. It could end up being a black hole within 48/72 hours.

But good news CryptoConnection on getting your coins out of there. I've just successfully moved around 10 BTC worth of different currencies in the past couple of hours out of there, the bulk of them DRK. I did a small test transfer of each currency and it took about 30 minutes each time for the funds to appear at the destination (except for around 40,000 POT which took a couple of hours, probably because it's a far less popular coin that needed more time for confirmations on its block chain). I've now moved the whole lot off Mintpal altogether. I suggest you try moving small amounts first to assure yourself the process works. Hopefully you won't have any difficulty.

Yes initially I thought to myself "OK they are making wholesale platform changes, stand back and give them some room..."  Now, it's simply getting embarrassing and it's clear they have absolutely no idea what they are doing...

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

Watch this folks - it's an absolutely textbook home run, stunning performance by Andreas Antonopolis.

The guy is Mr "honed response" and fires each point home with the deadly precision. Exceeds the Pope's capacity for infallibility under cross examination IMO. Utterly amazing plus really informative - he gets an applause from the Senators at the end of it.

Those guy's jaws were on the floor.

I'd imagine that any VC watching this who's remotely concerned with financial services capital is going to be quaking with desperation to get into the space after watching this.

Yeah. I know you work in IT too Ignition and across my 30 years I've seen some pretty good clusterf~*^s that make you wonder how people could have been so naive but this is like they put a work experience kid from high school in charge of the project. The lack of communication as to what was about to happen, what timeframes were expected and what precautions their customers should take make even some of the most inane IT project roll-outs I've seen look reasonable. There was absolutely no warning that you'd lose all your trading history, that your account would then be sitting there unprotected by 2FA and only subject to "password reset". I'll be amazed if there hasn't been a hack during all this with someone's coins cleaned out completely.

As for the "free trades for the rest of the year" that just guarantees we're going to see ridiculous trades going on that aren't representative of a coin's actual market value; it's really going to stuff things up. This sort of amateur-hour inanity is just not good for crypto. Imagine if you'd introduced a friend to DRK, showed him or her how to buy it on Mintpal and a week later this is what they're subjected to. They'd probably not be a friend for much longer. Just unbelievable.
