Crytpsy will inevitably fail you when you need it the most. You will shout at it and hate at it until the missed opportunity is forgotten and then just keep on trading there until it happens again... you will begin to feel the self loathing of having stuck around in such an abusive relationship. Finally when you can't take it any longer you will jump out through any open window, keep running, and never look back.

LOL at kryptofoo's post.

Cryptsy works.  *most* of the time.

Their systems are flaky and I have problems with withdrawing about 50% of the time.  Confirmations can take forever too although that is partially due to their unpublished security procedures for new members.  On the plus side, their tech support team is great and they are big DRK fans.

I'm with Tok. And I believe his use of the word "Charlatan" is perfect. Dissenting opinions are one thing, but this guy has thoroughly proven that he is either unwilling or unable to process information or sway far from mindless criticism. Being ignored by the community seems to have been having the desired effect, and if he would simply vanish, there is no way it could possibly happen soon enough. I couldn't give a shit less about his pangs of conscience, though I do not believe they exist in the first place. Let him cry. I would pop him in the nose right in his pathetic crying face without a second thought.

I guess the most worrying thing is that I can have that sort of an opinion of an exchange when I have only been using it for a week!!

I hate Bitfinex, the layout is horrid.  I am still waiting for BTC to be released at Mintpal after they cancelled my outbound transfer request......I still have a zero balance.  It's like they took it from me.

Anyone know what this means?  My MN did not get paid 2x.

bitfinex is solid. They have low trading fees and advanced order options (stop, trailing stop, fill or kill). Layout is simple. No market history; for that you can use bitcoinwisdom: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/bitfinex/drkbtc

If bitfinex can get enough order volume on drk they will implement margin trading, and then it will be the #1 exchange for drk

I have big plans for DRK in the near future and I think DRK is the future of Crypto and I will work very hard to make that a reality.

If you are a supporter of DRK then please ask any site you know to accept DRK and help us build a bigger merchant base.

For anyone who's interested, a sneak peak at the next release of Darkcoin:

TLDR:

- Next release will go out in the next two days probably, I'm going with the community and calling it "The Onyx Release"
- It features mandatory, non-exploitable Masternode payments.
- Masternode payments are completely predictable now. I.e., if there's 2000 masternodes you can expect 1 payment every 4 days (divide the amount of nodes by the blocks per day to get your ROI).
- Masternode payments will go to 25% one week from release (non-manditory)
- Afterwards I encourage the community to find the pools still paying 20% and contact them to make sure they update their stratum before it's too late
- Masternode payments beyond that will increase to 30% in November, 35% in December and continue on until we get at least 3000 masternodes.
- Huge security updates to Darksend. It's much more robust and can take a beating.

It's a true proof-of-service setup now. Each new node has a 1 in N (total number of masternodes) chance of receiving a payment each block. After a payment, they must wait N blocks to receive another one (give or take 10%). There's no room for gaming the system because it's using math based off of the proof-of-work to prove the node won, plus you'd have to wait 15 confirmations each time you moved money around and that takes from your profit too.

Will enforcement be turned on for future increase in block reward? or will this be goodwill based? this is not really clear to me cuz of the 'non-mandatory'

Great work otherwise

Greetz

With the new system reward increases and payee are enforced.

Is there a reason to aim for 3k Masternodes?

Any future plan that requires as many, or just decentralized objective?

security !

3000 mn >> faster more secure instantX transaction and darksend time (my guess)

I don't think more Masternodes will necessarily speed up InstanTX, that's bound by network latency, but it will increase the load the system can take, vastly decrease the chance of anyone compromising Darksend, and vastly increase the cost of attempting to do so.

As a side benefit, it will give me the giggles listening to halfwits who can't comprehend either market forces or decimal points gibber and wail about 'liquidity' and 'volume.'

Ah ! Now I see how you're getting number 5.

You've got "Filter non-mineable" switched on.

Yes, but in my browser it says "filter un-mineable fractional reserve shitcoins"   Grin
