Someone needs to put a bullet in that BOTs head so DRK can move the way it wants to... or whoever has that bot running, go away until next year

I have to say, that given my extremely low levels of comprehension with all things DOS, coding and a fair few finer technical points on what makes dark successful, I rely on the words and opinions of the others that make up the sphere of interest and development to help me decide a lot of what makes dark what it says it is.  I've seen many things fail in my time, for many different reasons.  Two things that find themselves on the separate sides of success and failure are blame and innovation.  I'd go as far as to say that my words are far short, the mark, of deserved praise for what dark has come to be able to do [technically] because I don't know exactly what I'm on about...

However - and this is the point - I don't have to know, completely, what i'm on about because the collective of individuals circled on this project is outstanding.  I see an attitude that crushes problems, awaiting the next.  An irony for the whole of crypto and of course business and life is that the point is to remove problems by developing better ways to operate, this is the journey and the fun (if you're that way inclined).  That's why I think that when something comes along to get in the way of this system [DRK], it is purpose built to deal with it from the inside-out... by it's very definition.

It's almost as if detracting sings of a naturally bumpy path Cheesy on which the journey's original purpose was in the first place, redesigning financial instruments for use beyond the transition between the old trust paradigm and the new.

I'm guessing if Mr.666 had any real bullets to fire he'd have stood more chance at financial gain from collaborating - as stated by Evan in his reply - (too much work perhaps?).  So, either Satan missed the point leaving him with a misdirected valuation of his potential or drk encountered an issue and moved forward another step; same thing - misdirection excluded.

Best of luck to Evan and the rest of the team this weekend

1283 masternodes.... i think someone has been turning those almost 7K DRK to good use and many others with him / or her Smiley

Current Masternodes % per country : https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/masternodes.dws

I wonder what it will look like a year ahead ...

Hello folks! I rebooted the vps and restarted both the daemon on the vps and the local wallet using the command masternode start.
Now the port-check is listed as closed, should I make a fresh new MN install?

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Yeah I guess it is just a matter of time, I have ufw installed and this is its policy
Code:
To                         Action      From
--                         ------      ----
sshport/tcp                  LIMIT       Anywhere
9999/tcp                   ALLOW       Anywhere
sshport/tcp (v6)             LIMIT       Anywhere (v6)

http://www.darkcoin.cm/index/charts/

note : i'm not sure how reliable those charts are to be honest .. at least the top ten countries chart seems to conflict with https://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/masternodes.dws
(could be updating more slowly?)

Crouton Campaign for Decentralisation continues!

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/croutonrant-237-the-happy-happy-dream-of-decentralised-mining.3038/page-2#post-31936

Centralised currencies will never amount to anything other than toys.

you are linking to an unsafed message ?!

Croutons Campaign for Basic Organisational Skills continues!

Corrected, thanks tungfa!  Grin

Are you going to project manage P2Pool 2.0 and make the interface granny proof?

p2pool is already easier to use than centralised pools are.  Roll Eyes

No registration or setting up workers, just point your miner at the nearest p2pool node with your Darkcoin address as your username and password anything. Added bonus that the pool op can't run off with or lose your money, plus lower fees.

Anyway, solo-mining is a better option IMO, avoids the p2pool dust problem, and the Spreadcoin solution seems to work perfectly so far, and Spreadcoin is based on Darkcoin, just uses a slightly modified X11 algo to get rid of the centralising parasites.  Smiley

Negative Ghostrider, the pattern is full.

There is nothing more alienating for a newcomer than p2pool.  Sure for you and I it's easy, try to think like a newcomer.

Try to explain manual difficulty and DOA to someone who thinks configuring SGMiner is like learning a new programming language.

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...
