Hey PotCoin thread, looking for a place to mine POT? Join us at Chunky Pool!

Here's a little more info:

  • Brand new dashboard/homepage!
  • 0% fees forever, not just "for now"
  • SSL encryption
  • Custom MPOS layout
  • Support and a wonderful community @ irc.freenode.net #chunky
  • We are equipped to withstand thousands of workers
  • Excellent stability and uptime

We also provide many other coin pools and even have a coin-switching multi-port that switches between coins to maximize profitability!

One account fits all
We have modified MPOS to provide a multipool experience. You only have to create one account, and that account is shared among all of our coin instances. Unlike some other multipools, and since we're on top of MPOS, we offer you complete transparency about provided shares, found blocks and much more!

Pools
  • Dogecoin - port 3333
  • Earthcoin - port 3334
  • RonPaulCoin - port 3335
  • Lottocoin - port 3336
  • Stablecoin - port 3337
  • 42coin - port 3338
  • Digibyte - port 3339
  • Litecoin - port 3340
  • Klondikecoin - port 3341
  • Leafcoin - port 3342
  • Potcoin - port 4200
  • Multiport - port 6666

And perhaps the biggest reason of all: we are miners just like you. We started this pool because we were sick of trying to find pools that didn't go down all the time. We are committed to making a better mining environment for you and for ourselves.

Hey guys, I've been leading a big push lately to get Potcoin listed on Cryptsy (https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/73070 - make sure to like AND comment! Smiley) and I wanted to share a conversation that's on the latest Let's Talk Bitcoin between the LTB correspondent and Paul Vernon, AKA BigVern, the founder and CEO of Cryptsy.

I wanted to share a few points that he made about the criteria that they use when deciding to list a coin on Cryptsy, especially in light of Potcoin:

Quote
We look at who created this coin, are they active, are they going to continue creating this coin?

Was there a huge pre-mine?

How many users are asking for this coin?

It's really about the community. If the community is behind the coin, and it seems like a fair coin, then it'll probably get added.

I like purpose. I like coins with purpose.

But it think branded coins [are a good idea]... especially if there is a product or service attached with that. So, 'we have this coin and we have this service, and you can use this coin with this service', I think that's a great idea. I don't have an example off of the top of my head, but you know it could be anybody.

Potcoin has a great dev-team and an extremely low pre-mine (~20,000 coins).

Users are overwhelmingly asking for this coin?  Over 278 likes and growing!

Is the community behind the coin? Absolutely! Just check out this thread and /r/potcoin for the evidence

I really laughed when I heard that purpose is important, but that BigVern couldn't name a branded coin with a specific purpose! Potcoin is about as branded, case-specific, and integrated (and soon to be integrated) into commerce for products and services.

I just thought that everyone should see what Cryptsy is looking for and how many boxes that Potcoin ticks off of their checklist-

This needs to be seen by cryptsy....Best coin for them to add by a mile

Potcoin could really have a place.

Bitcoin long confirmation times and high fees make it unpractical for smaller transactions.

Potcoin could really have a place.

Bitcoin long confirmation times and high fees make it unpractical for smaller transactions.

The same has been said for the rest of 100 coins that have tried to take the number one spot.
In the end it's the people behind the coin who decide how good this coin is. And bitcoin has lots of adepts behind.

Anybody else notice the net hash rate is steadily dropping? Only about .5 gh/s now.

When does the gravity well kick in? We are prime for a multipool hitting pot now that its listed on coinmarketcap.com and has low difficulty...

It doubled last night in an hour and has just been tanking ever since.  It dropped like a rock to 700Mh/s as quickly as we went over 1gh/s.  i miss when we were looking forward to 3gh/s now anyone could kill this coin at very low price

There have been like 3-4 new coins launched in the past 24 hours, that's probably why. Many coins have lost hashrate in the past few hours because of this, even LTC lost like a GH.
