they need 260 confirmations to mature. then u can stake again.

Not exactly. The 260 confirmations is the # needed before those coins are spendable. The min coin age for staking is 8hours, I am still unsure whether that 8 hours is based on confirmations or on actual time since that tx was created, I am leaning towards time based seeing as we are averaging only 500 or so blocks/day.

Strange, since I have my staking coins for months on that wallet. And those coins are shown to be on the staking line, and on the balance I have or is shown what I got over night.

Yesterday I had like a 75 weight. Now Its been climbing up a LOT.

I don't know about the so called weight... I have less than ONE (1, specifically 0.85160....) Potcoin staking and the wallet says my "average weight" is 19...

Well, after it change from cant stak to staking.. It keeps climbing, every minute i thinkg. Now its displaying Ill be earning a reward every 15 minutes, where thats not the case. I havent recieve a reward since 4 am this morning.
We are going to have to ignore those #s until the network is producing the blocks/day that it should and we have more coins actively staking.

In that case, keep on keeping on. We do need to make sure that people understand that you can't trust those #s until the network is up to speed. I estimate that we are 2k blocks behind where we should be, give or take.

Not yet, even they did, everyone would need to download the updated wallet for it to take affect, its code that affects YOUR coins, not the coins on the entire network.
Looks like a big player just brought on a few million coins, lets hope these will be actively staking and not going into cold storage after jacking up the diff.

How many? If you want, I can send you some coins for an internal transfer at cryptsy. I don't have much actively staking, but I am willing to help a brother out Smiley

Does it matter if all your coins are in 1 address or a bunch of lil stashes. Does it affect payouts?

Right now it doesn't matter much, but as the network grows and more coins are actively staking, the size of the blocks your staking will matter. Overall though, having smaller blocks will only mean that you stake less often, but your payout will be what it should be, IE, at least 5%, larger depending on the amount of coins actively staking.

For optimal staking, I would focus on having all your coins in one address, this way you are likely to stake more often and compounding can have greater effect.

I added a few coins to my wallet under 2 other address's and it reset my stake weight.

This is to be expected. Whenever you move coins around it destroys the coin age and resets it to 1. Coin age is determined by the # of coins and the # of blocks since the coins have moved. The network is still small enough that you will likely stake about 8 hours after moving those coins, no matter how small they may be.

Kinda bummer, my weight was Huge, seconds to reward, and lost it over next to nothing.
 I'll know better now :-)

i hate this limbo mode between confirmed coins and i guess the time limit. Even if the coins are confirmed, the stake button sill say's not mature because of time?

The min coin age is 8 hours before a block of coins eligible to stake. With the network as small as it is right now, you are pretty much guaranteed to stake soon after the 8 hour windows.
You can't and won't stake more than once every 8 hours per block/address, no matter how large your weight.

Yeah, you threw away a decent chunk of profit by doing that. Live and learn. You will make some of it back while the % of active coins is as low as it is.
